Chapter 8
The Rocket Is Complete
To construct the rocket, I dedicated five days to its assembly.
Interestingly, I began this project on Wednesday when I missed class.
Well, my work on the rocket commenced in the afternoon, and for the subsequent four days, I continued this pattern, always returning home late at night, exhausted and ready to sleep as soon as I got to bed.
And the day I completed the rocket was Sunday morning.
So, after several days of hard work, I was thrilled to finally see it finished; it felt like one of my greatest achievements, truly a remarkable project.
While in the garage, I wore my long mechanical outfit and a full-face shield, complete with safety glasses. And I stood there admiring the rocket, which was painted white and blue, standing upright.
“Wow! The rocket is ready!” I exclaimed. “Oh my God! I finally completed the rocket!” I said with immense joy. “This is a dream come true!” I repeatedly.
Indeed, the rocket was constructed in five days, culminating on Sunday, the final day of the Weekend.
To ensure proper positioning, I built it in the center of the garage, where there was a large hole in the roof.
So, it was through this very opening that the rocket would soon launch. “Oh, I can't wait to launch the rocket!” I thought.
“But I'm not launching it just yet,” I said again.
“I'll have to wait until another day next Week to do that,” I chuckled.
Then a few minutes later, I headed home as late as the evening approached.
However, while walking down the road, I encountered a Police car that flashed its lights at me.
“Hey young man!” One of the Officers called out.
“What are you doing out here at this hour?”
“Where are your parents?” He asked me. I replied, “I'm on my way home, sir!”, “Did I do something wrong, Officer?”
“You heard the young man; he’s going home!” The other Officer interjected. “Leave him alone!”
“Let's move on!” The Officer instructed the one who had questioned me. “Very well!”
“Please make sure to get home safely, young man!”
“And avoid any foolish actions!” The Officer advised me.
“Understood, Officer!”
“Goodnight!” I replied.
I then resumed my walk along the road towards my home.
Oh! Boy!
The Officers were uncertain whether I constructed a rocket intended for a Space launch without the necessary Government approval.
If only they were aware.
Fortunately for me, however, people remain unaware that I built a rocket in the abandoned garage near the Urban beach.
