I Won The Court Battle
I felt immense joy when I received some good news on Wednesday morning.
On that Wednesday, the third day of the third week, the struggle to reclaim the Goggle persisted, and I was fortunate to receive one of the best updates of the day.
Once again, I rode my motorcycle to the courthouse despite feeling quite cold.
Upon my arrival, I found the Judge, Mr. Jack, and several Staff members already in the room.
Shortly after I arrived, the Judge welcomed us with a smile and said, “Good morning! Thank you for coming to my appointment!”, “In brief, I will announce the winner of the case.”, “But first, I need to review all the evidence I have received to make an informed decision.”
At that moment, I took out the letter my uncle had left for me, and Mr. Jack also presented the receipt for the Goggle.
A few minutes later, the Judge stated, “Alright, let's begin the debate.”, “I need to see the evidence you both have right now.”
“Absolutely, your Honor!” Both Mr. Jack and I responded.
“Who will come to me first?” The Judge inquired.
“I will!” Mr. Jack answered, standing up to present the receipt to the Judge.
“Thank you, sir,” the Judge said, taking the receipt.
“You may take a seat now.” She urged Mr. Jack.
Then she turned to me, saying, “Young man! Now it's your turn.”, “What evidence do you have to prove that the Goggle truly belongs to you?”
I replied, “I certainly have proof as well!”
I stood up and handed the letter to her.
“Your Honor! This is all the evidence I possess,” I informed the Judge.
“Thank you very much, Mr. Kenley! You may now sit down,” the Judge responded.
As Mr. Jack and I took back our seats at the desk, the Judge commanded complete silence and spent 10 minutes reviewing the evidence.
Indeed, after a span of 10 minutes, the Judge announced, “Ladies and gentlemen, I now have a final decision regarding this case!” and then said, “Mr. Jack and Kenley, you can stand now.”
Immediately, Mr. Jack and I rose to our feet, awaiting the verdict.
In a brief statement, the Judge proclaimed that I had won the case.
“Mr. Kenley! You have the case!” She informed me.
“Congratulations!” She added. “Yes! Thank you so much!” I exclaimed, jumping up and down with joy.
“What?” Mr. Jack exclaimed.
“But how is that possible?”
“I showed you my receipt, right?” He asked the Judge.
“Mr. Jack, it's not my fault; it's the letter's fault!” The Judge replied, despite his frustration.
“Mr. Kenley, the Goggle is truly yours, and you may take it now!” The Judge also stated to me.
Mr. Jack and his accompanying Staff had no option but to hand over the Goggle to me.
Then, After I took the Goggle, I exited the courthouse and headed home.
“I got it! Oh, I really got it!”
“Oh my God, this is fantastic news!” I exclaimed as I was walking down the street to pick up my motorcycle that was parked nearby.
Fleurlanda Told Me ‘Yes’
Late Wednesday afternoon, on the same day I won the Goggle case, I decided to visit Fleurlanda.
I returned home from court earlier in the afternoon and took a brief nap upon my arrival.
While I was resting, the alarm in my room went off, waking me up. When I looked at the clock, it was 4 PM.
I quickly got up, took a shower, dressed nicely, and headed downstairs for lunch before leaving.
I found my mother in the dining room, while my father had already gone out.
“Hun? What would you like to eat?” My mother asked me.
“What do you have?” I inquired.
“We have your favorite Salad and braised Chicken,” she replied.
“Yummy! Sounds delicious!” I spoke.
She promptly served the food and placed it on the table for me.
“Mother! This food is delicious!” I exclaimed after my first bite.
“Oh my God! I really love it,” I told her.
At that moment, my sister had already finished her meal and was in the living room watching cartoons.
“You’re welcome, enjoy!” My mother responded.
A few minutes later, I finished my lunch, grabbed a Beer from the fridge, and then I headed to Fleurlanda's house.
On the way, I called her, but there was no answer.
However, she was unaware of my visit, as it was meant to be a surprise.
And when I arrived at her house, I rang the doorbell.
Shortly after, her mother opened the door and greeted me, “Hello?”, “Your name is Kenley, the Photographer, right?”
I confirmed, “Yes, that’s correct!”
“Hun? We have a guest,” she called out to her husband.
“Welcome! Would you like to come inside?” She invited me in.
I replied, “Thanks, but I’d prefer to stay outside since I won’t be here long.”
I inquired about Fleurlanda, saying, “I’m here to see Fleurlanda! Is she around?”
She responded, “Yes, she’s here! Just a moment, I’ll call her for you!”
And indeed, she called Fleurlanda for me as I requested.
When Fleurlanda came, we
decided to stroll around the area while chatting.
“Hi Fleurlanda!” I greeted her upon her arrival.
“Kenley!” She replied with a smile.
“Hi! What brings you here?” She asked, giggling.
“I'm here to see you because I wanted to catch up with you,” I responded.
“I really miss you,” I added, returning her a smile.
“Ay! That's so sweet!” She exclaimed.
“I was thinking about you too,” she mentioned.
“Would you like to go inside the house?” She suggested.
“No, I’d rather stay outside,” I responded.
“How about we take a walk around here?” I proposed.
“Absolutely!” She replied, and we set off for a walk.
We were strolling through a Suburban neighborhood that
resembled mine.
She exclaimed, “Wow! What a beautiful day!”
I responded, “Indeed! We can't deny that.”
I added, “It's so lovely out here; your neighborhood is quite similar to mine.”
She inquired, “Are you saying your neighborhood is also Suburban?”
I confirmed, “That's correct! Something along those lines.”
As we walked, we took a moment to admire the stunning view of the area.
“Your family is really wonderful!” I remarked.
“Thank you!” She replied.
“And what about your family?”
“Will they welcome me?” She asked curiously.
“Absolutely! My family is very kind as well,” I responded. At that moment, my thoughts drifted to the floating Planet.
“Did you tell anyone about seeing the floating Planet?” I asked her.
“No,” she replied.
“Let's keep this between us, okay?” I urged.
“Alright, Sir,” she agreed.
As we continued our walk, chatting and laughing, her phone rang.
“Hello?” She answered.
“Hun?” Her mother said on the other end.
“Where are you?” Her mother asked.
“I'm out for a walk around the neighborhood with Kenley,” she replied.
“Why, mother?” She questioned.
“Come home, Hun. There's something I need you to do for me,” her mother requested.
“Okay, mother, I'll be there in a few seconds,” she answered. We made our way back to her house.
“Kenley! We had a great time again!” She told me at the door and smiled as well.
“I wanted to see you, and I'm glad I see you!” I told her.
“Goodbye!” I also said. Just as I was about to leave, she called out, “Wait! I want to tell you something before you leave.”
I responded, “What is it?”
She said, “Remember when you asked me to be your girlfriend? I thought about it, and my answer is Yes.”
I replied, “Oh my God! Are you serious?”
She exclaimed, “Of course, I am serious!”
I said, “Wow! This is another good news I received today!”
She was sincere and laughing.
She stepped closer and kissed me on the lips before heading inside and closing the door.
Then, after she closed the door, I decided to go grab my motorcycle so I could head home as well.
To be honest, I returned home feeling much happier.
