Cultivating personal stability and resilient presence.
- Recognising early when you are emotionally triggered.
- Taking full responsibility of your emotional reactions instead of blaming others, projecting emotions onto them, or expecting others to fix things.
- Developing reliable practices to pause, self-soothe and return to a centred state before re-engaging, especially in moments of tension, hurt or jealousy. Key methods are:
- Breathing through the heart centre
- Respectfully asking for a pause ('I need a moment') as a proactive tool, not as a sign of withdrawal or failure to communicate.
- Practising vulnerability from a centred place. This involves sharing your tender feelings and needs without becoming dependent on others or expecting them to fix your emotional state. It is a way of communicating from a place of strength and self-awareness.
- Processing emotions before bringing them to others using tools such as walking in nature, breathwork, journaling or meditation.
