Sweden

It was late August, but the weather in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, was not very warm. Sina and his father were walking along a street where the hotel clerk had told them there was a tourist information center.

They found the center, which was a small office, and went inside. A man was sitting behind a desk. Sina’s father told him in English that they would like to visit some of Stockholm’s historical places.

The man replied kindly, “In a few minutes, I can arrange a guide, a car, and a driver for you.” Then he made a phone call.

Sina and his father sat down to wait for the guide and the driver.

The man at the tourist office asked Sina’s father, “What kinds of places would you most like to see?”

Sina’s father replied, “My son is very interested in learning about religions. So, while we visit the religious places in the city, we would also like to learn about the religions of the people of Sweden.”

The man picked up the phone and said, “I’m glad you told me that!”

Then he made several phone calls. When he finished, he turned to Sina and his father and said, “I have found a good guide for you. His name is Erik. He studied the history of religions, so I think he will be the right guide for you.”

A few minutes later, a thin man of about forty with light-colored hair came in. He shook hands with Sina and his father and introduced himself as Erik. He was very friendly.

They all got into a car. The driver was standing beside it, waiting for them.
