Unconquerable View

The view before us was

Filled with rain

Raindrops flowing in a sea

Of black

Raindrops flowing in a river

Of black

A river where we stand,

Overlooking the ocean,

Covered in darkness,

As the downpour continues

Over our naked bodies

As the lighting cracks overhead

As we come together

To form one

As we come together

Into the rainstorm

Upon the beach

And the river in front of us

The waves splash on us

The storm plunging into the ocean

The darkness interrupted by thunder

The darkness interrupted by rain

We move

The movement distorts the darkness

Covered in raindrops,

We jump high,

Into the stormy sky,

Into the stormy night,

We leap headfirst

Into the stormy waters,

We still move

Into the earth,

We are still a part of life,

Into life,

That is what we belong to now

Into life,

We witness the unconquerable view

Of the wild, natural world

Of the wild, natural watery night

Into life,

We sink into the ocean

We absorb into the water

We absorb into the rainfall

We absorb in the fresh river

We absorb in the fresh ocean

We absorb

Under the waves

Never to be seen again

And that’s our end

We have absorbed into life.
