A few minutes later, my grandmother joined my mother, father, and mother's cousin at the dinner table. “Alright, let's eat!”

“Who will say the prayer before we begin?” My grandmother asked, wanting to know who would pray so they could start their meal. “I'll pray, but only after you tell me what you're having,”

“I love the aroma!” My father replied, prompting laughter from my mother's cousin.

“We have Jamaican Pan Chicken and Jamaican Pepperpot on the table!” My grandmother informed my father. “Yummy! It looks delicious!” My father exclaimed before he prayed.

Shortly after he finished his prayer, they enjoyed their meal before heading to their rooms to rest.
