Teresa And Joseph Visit Diane D In The Hospital
Two days later, Margarita is in the hospital lobby talking to Marilyn. She says to Marilyn, "Voy a conseguir algo de café. ¿Quieres un café?"
"No that's okay Mom," Marilyn says. "Voy a ir volver arriba a Diane."
"Okay. Voy a estar ahí arriba." Margarita turns and starts to head towards the cafeteria as Marilyn turns the other way and heads towards the elevators.
Margarita heads towards the cafeteria. She looks towards the front door and sees Teresa who's a friend of both Diane D and Dana who is a beautiful black woman with a deep dark skinned complexion with shoulder length hair and her boyfriend Joseph, a black man with a dark complexion, coming inside the hospital lobby. She stops, smiles and says, "Hi Teresa! Hey Joseph!"
"Hi Miss Margarita!" Teresa and Joseph say as they approach Margarita. Teresa then says, "How are you Miss Margarita?"
"I'm okay. And yourself?"
"We're fine. How's Diane doing? I would like to know if it's okay if we see her."
"Yes, but not too long Teresa. Diane needs plenty of rest."
"I understand."
"How is she doing?" Joseph asks.
"She's sedated right now," Margarita says.
"She's still sedated?"
"I'm afraid so."
"Are you planning to spend the night with her again Miss Margarita?" Teresa asks.
"Of course I am."
"You are? Aren't you afraid or nervous that other personality might suddenly appear in Diane again?!"
"I know Teresa, but Diane is my grandchild. My family and I are going to be here for her no matter what. It's something my family and I just have to deal with."
"Oh wow. I'm sorry you all are going through this."
"Thanks Teresa. You can see Diane real quick. Just don't approach her or try to 254
"Okay Miss Margarita, as long as you're there in the room with us."
"As long as I'm there in the room?"
"Well yeah. We're kind of afraid to be there in the room with Diane by ourselves after everything we heard happened with her."
"I understand Teresa. But of course I'm gonna be there in the room with you, plus some of my family members are up there in the room with Diane now."
"They are?"
"Yeah. Marilyn just went up there."
"She did?"
"Yeah. Come on. I'll let you two to see Diane real quick."
"Okay."
Margarita turns and heads towards the elevators as Teresa and Joseph nervously follow her.
Margarita is walking in the upstairs hospital hallway as Teresa and Joseph continue to nervously follow behind her. Margarita heads towards Diane D's hospital room as Mickey suddenly comes out of Diane D's hospital room. Mickey sees Teresa and Joseph and says, "Hi Teresa! Hi Joseph!"
"Hi Mickey!" Teresa and Joseph say.
"How are you?" Joseph asks.
"Good, and yourself?" Mickey asks.
"Okay."

"Okay baby." Margarita approaches Diane D's hospital room door as Mickey walks away. She goes into the hospital room.
Margarita is inside the hospital room. She turns to Teresa and Joseph and says,
"Come on in." Teresa and Joseph slowly and nervously enter the hospital room. They see a whole bunch of gifts and flowers everywhere. They see Nicolas and Marilyn adjusting the flat screen TV. They then see Diane D sound asleep still sedated, sleeping face up with her arms folded up and still in casts and bandages with her hands behind and beneath her head. They see Diane D dressed in a dark green opened pajama top with long sleeves over the cast and bandages wearing a light green bustier inside it with the bed spread on top of her chest. The long chain attached to her shackle is still attached to the metal bar of the bed. There is a little Spanish boy around 2-years old sleeping right on top of Diane D laying his head right on top of her chest as Diane D
continues to sleep. A little Spanish girl around the same age jumps right on top of the bed. She approaches Diane D. The little boy looks at the little girl and screams to her,
"Noooo! Ir lejos!" He tries to hit the little girl.
"Noooo!" the little girl screams as she tries to hit the little boy. They begin to sort of fight over Diane D.
"Hey!” Nicolas shouts as he approaches them. “Bajarse de la cama y salir de la habitación!" He grabs both kids and picks them up off the bed with one kid in each arm. He then carries them towards the doorway pass Teresa and Joseph as Teresa and Joseph smile at the kids. Nicolas then takes the kids out into the hallway. Teresa and 255
Joseph turn to Margarita as Joseph asks, "Who are those kids?"
"Oh those are my sister Marlena's great-grandchildren from the Dominican Republic," Margarita says.
"Your sister Marlena's great-grandchildren?"
"Yes. Their whole family came up here from the Dominican Republic when they heard about what happened to Diane."
"They did?"
"Yes."
"Oh that's nice. Where is your sister Marlena at now?"
"She and the rest of them went downstairs to the gift shop to buy some gifts for Diane. They'll be back up shortly."
"Oh okay."
Teresa then looks at Diane D. She turns to Margarita and whispers, "So does she remember anything that happened during her hypnosis ordeal with the doctors?"
"We don't really know yet Teresa," Margarita whispers. "Diane hasn't talked yet."
"She hasn't?"
"No. She's been unconscious and sedated the whole entire time since after that ordeal."
"She has?"
"Yes."
"What about the time you had a conversation with her other personality in the bathroom when you found her body not in the bed?"
"Well since that wasn't Diane's original personality, I cannot include that."
"I see."
Margarita goes to the side of the bed. She grabs a damp cloth that is folded on the night stand beneath the lamp. She starts to gently wipe Diane D's face, forehead and hair with the cloth.
"How is she Miss Margarita?"
"She's doing okay so far."
"That's good." Teresa and Joseph sadly stare at Diane D. They then look at the chain that's attached to her shackle and the metal bar of the bed.
Margarita finishes wiping Diane D's face with the cloth. She gently places the cloth back on the night stand. She takes another look at Diane D as she starts to head back towards Teresa and Joseph.
Margarita approaches Teresa and Joseph and says, "Okay Teresa?"
"Okay," Teresa says. "Thanks for letting us see her."
"You're welcome. I'll walk you two downstairs."
"Okay." Teresa and Joseph turn towards the doorway as they sadly look back at Diane D. They then look forward and head out the hospital room door as Margarita follows behind them.
