Back in the Sock Dimension, the Sock Council was livid. Their sacred census was incomplete, their clipboard was still screaming, and worst of all, Greg had left behind the Census Wand; now being used by Steve the dryer to roast marshmallows over a lint fire.

Councilmember Toebert, a knee high sock with delusions of grandeur, declared Greg a “Threadbreaker”; a title reserved for those who defy sock law and disrupt the sacred weave of reality. The punishment? Eternal sorting duty in the Sock Abyss, a place where socks multiply endlessly and every drawer is slightly too small.

But Greg, now a minor celebrity thanks to his podcast, had fans. One of them; a rogue bathrobe named Velma, hacked the dimensional laundry chute and sent Greg a warning encoded in fabric softener. “They’re coming. Hide your feet.”

Greg went underground. Literally. He moved into a mole’s abandoned burrow and began training in the ancient art of Sock Fu, a martial discipline involving high kicks, static electricity, and passive-aggressive folding.
