“No, way. Are you serious? How many times?”
“At least a dozen times, between 1871 and this year. But they’re were just sightings no type of interaction, no pictures, or any proof something happened
except for one incident in the fall of 1898.”
“What happened?” Dylan asked in a tight voice with a face that looked believably concerned.
“A dairy farmer named Hank Talbot, he owned a farm with a few acres of land near Franklin road. A friendly and civic minded man who was well liked in town as was the rest of his brood according to locals. So a lot of people were saddened and shocked when he, his wife and six kids were all killed one night in October.”
“How were they killed?” Dylan said trying not to look too wide eyed.
“Well there still a dispute about what happened, I found an article from The Philadelphia Inquirer dated December 1898 about the whole incident. A neighbor from a mile down the road was riding his horse and saw their mailbox was over flowing and he was friendly with the Talbot’s so he stopped his horse and gathered up the letters to bring them to Hank so they didn’t fall out and blow away in the wind. And that’s when the story gets weird.”
“Weird how?” asked Dylan flashing the smug cute smile again for the camera.
“Well the neighbor said he wasn’t on his horse and was trying to walk his steed to the front porch to tie it up quick but he couldn’t get it to follow him. He said it started stomping its hooves and whining like it saw a rattle snake. He didn’t see or hear anything but it was still early in the day and the sun wasn’t totally up yet so he tied his horse to Hank’s picket fence then when the neighbor approached the porch he said he heard some kind of rustling going own by the side of the house. He goes walking over there thinking it was maybe Hank doing chores so he called out to him and said ‘Hank, hey Hank I got some mail for ya’ and that’s when he heard a growl.”
“A growl? Are you serious?”
“Yeah his exact word were, ‘it sounded like a wolf’ so he dropped the letters...”
“...got the hell outta there...” interrupted Dylan which he put in the script.
