5. EXPRESS ONLY YOUR HIGHEST THOUGHTS
We all have strengths, even ones that we dismiss as not very important because we learned at an early age not to boast. Now is the time to dust off your gratitude for the very strengths that make it possible for you to create a better life for yourself and others
What might these strengths be? Often, if we're asked to name what we are good at, we tend to mumble something about being good at baking or a certain sport, or good at using new software or tech gadgets. But our strengths go far beyond the classification of "life skills."
Take time to finetune your natural ability to create and manifest results you want—and minimize the unwanted experiences.
If you're finding this a challenge, ask yourself this question: What's going on inside?
The answers will arise from your inner self. Anxiety means that you are fearful about something. Fear is always about the future—it's peering ahead in your imagination and being scared what will happen next. Fear is a signal that you are projecting your thoughts ahead of you and anticipating unwanted results in any and all areas of your life.
Humanity's history of fear-based thinking is evidenced in thousands of limiting proverbs and axioms such as "It's better to be safe than sorry"—what about "It's better to give it my all and make the results I want happen!"
When we allow our minds to remain untrained and wild with thoughts of fear, anxiety and dread, we become inadvertent collaborators with Trump's agenda. Even though we tend to complain that the law of attraction doesn't "work" because when we do our success or health affirmations, nothing much changes— that's not the fault of the law.
The fault lies in our thinking habits.
Think about ways you can express only the highest level of thoughts throughout the day. That means developing a new habit where you pay attention to how you are feeling and thus what you were just thinking about.
When we turn our attention to examine the results we have in life, such as frequent colds, money problems, relationship issues and so on, and we see how those results relate to the law of attraction, we can more readily see that we do indeed create our experience.
That time lag between asking and getting is a good thing because otherwise the moment you thought of something, it would manifest. At first that seems like it would be wonderful—think about wealth and your bank account magically grows, think about health and you are totally rejuvenated on the spot. But the reverse is true as well—worry you'll get in a car accident and BAM! one collision, as requested.
So, when we intend to create positive change, such as affecting the outcome of progressive issues, we need to be aware of that underlying stream of thought power.
The reason we end up with so many unwanted things is that 1) we are thinking about what we don't want, 2) we expect bad things to happen, and 3) we don't doubt bad things will happen.
If the answer is to think about what we do want and wait for it, then why do we still experience the frustration of not getting our desired results?
The answer lies in the word "highest belief" – if your highest level of belief in the recesses of your mind is along the lines of "I sure wish for this, but I probably won't get it" then that doubt is causing the delay.
To up-level your highest thoughts, notice when you are affirming what you want but at the same time you secretly don't believe you can get it or deserve it.
Keep affirming your desires again and again, not just once or twice a day. Retrain your thoughts with the repetition of positive statements.
We often give up when we don't see immediate results. It's important to learn to recognize the clues that your manifestation is on the way. If you are magnetizing financial success into your life, for example, and you find a quarter on the sidewalk: that's a clue. If you get an unexpected monetary gift or refund check, that's a clue. If you get a bonus at work, or a gift card from a friend—those are clues. The problem is that we think the clues are the final answer.
If you spot the clues and dismiss them with scorn for not being what you wanted, then the doubt and discouragement yank down your high vibration just before the manifestation would have materialized. That back-and-forth frustration can feel upsetting, because it seems you're not getting anywhere.
From now on, watch for the clues, keep your vibration high and fine and strong and steady.
Imagine your manifestation is inside a box kite high up in the sky and you hold the string and the reel. You wouldn't cut the string, would you? You wouldn't drop the reel just because the kite has gone behind a cloud. Keep that string of belief nice and strong, expect your good to come to you, and reel that kite right into your life.
