Act II: Jerry Rubin’s Party

In 1975, they found themselves at a loft in SoHo, sipping wine with ex-radicals and ad execs. Jerry Rubin; former Yippie turned Wall Street evangelist, was holding court in a paisley shirt and gold medallion, preaching the gospel of “personal transformation through capital.”

Calvin and Miriam didn’t believe a word of it. But they admired the choreography. Rubin’s party was a theater of contradictions; revolutionaries turned consultants, anarchists with stock portfolios.
