“Sweetheart, could you please open your bedroom door?” Celine's mother asked.

“I'll be there in a moment, mother,” she answered.

Soon after, she got up and opened the door.

“Hello, sweetheart! What are you up to?” Her mother asked.

“Hi, mother! I'm playing with the doll and teddy bear that Mr. Nortreus gave me,” she replied.

“Can you believe it?” She added.

“Oh! That's wonderful! I just wanted to check on you before you went to sleep,” her mother said.

“Have fun and good night!” Her mother added.

“Thank you for checking on me,” she replied.

“Good night!”

“Don't forget to pray,” her mother reminded her.

“Goodbye!” Her mother said as she exited the room.

“Good night, mother!” She replied. Thus, Celine was seen playing with her dolls and teddy bears in her room until her mother came to check up on her.

Then, next, Kayla was also seen playing in her room with her dolls and teddy bears until her mother came to check on her as well.

“Hello, sweetheart! How are you?” Her mother asked as she stood at the bedroom door to see how she was doing.

“Hi, mother!”

“I'm doing well, and you?” She replied.

“I'm good, thank you!” Her mother responded.

“What are you up to?” Her mother continued.

“I'm just playing with the toys Mr. Nortreus gave me,” she replied.

“Why?”

“Would you like to join me?” She asked.

“Sure, that sounds great!”

“But I just needed to check on you before I went to sleep,” her mother explained.

“Good night!” Her mother added.

“Good night! Thank you!” She replied.

After that, her mother left. Indeed, both girls were seen playing with their toys late into the night before they went to bed.

Mr. Nortreus Had Dinner

After Mr. Nortreus completed writing and revising several new pages of his tales, he proceeded to the dining room and then made his way to the attic to sit down, eat, and unwind.

“It's dinner time!”

“Ha! Ha! Ha!”

“What should I have for dinner?” He pondered as he entered the dining room.

Indeed, he selected some French salad and a cup of tea.

Soon after, he ascended to the attic.

“You know what, I prefer having dinner in the attic,” he exclaimed.

“Oh my God! It's freezing!”

“I love it!” He said again.

Upon reaching the attic, he found a single sofa chair positioned by the window.

He opened the window and settled into the sofa to enjoy watching the snow fall while having dinner before bedtime.

“Alright, let me relax!”

“Can I relax now after a long busy day?”

“Yum! The dinner is delicious!” He remarked.
