The Deep Dive of a Poet - Inspiring Poetic Verses to Open the Mind by Steve J. Watson - HTML preview

A MEMORY STILL CALLING A MEMORY STILL CALLING

A distant memory of my relationship,

Filled with sadness, like

A wilting plant.

She used to make me laugh,

Had a wonderful sense of humor,

Like the spark of a stand-up

Comedian.

I hold dear the memories

Of my time with her,

Rejoicing in her laughter and

Her inner essence.

I wish I had a closer tie with her

Now, but we are far apart,

Across the pond.

We barely talk, yet at times,

I wish we could speak more,

Even if only in thought.

After this life, hopefully,

One day we’ll tune in again—

Like waves across the universe.
