LONELINESS

"Why? What crime has he committed?" Asked Pilate. But they shouted

all the louder,

While you elevate yourself up the mount, in the performance of your duties, you experience the solitude of the summits, and an immeasurable sadness compresses your sensitive soul.

Where are the ones who smiled with you in the vernal park of your first youth?

Where are the hearts that sought your comfort in the hours of fantasy?

Where lie those who shared the bread and dream with you in the cheerful adventures of the beginning?

They remained there, for sure...

They stayed in the valley, flying in a narrow circle, like golden butterflies, which break apart at the first contact of the smallest light flame that opens before them.

Around you, the light, but also the silence...

Within you, the happiness of knowing, but also the pain of others' incomprehension...

Your voice screams without echo, and your yearning grows in vain.

Yet, if you rise spiritually, what ears could hear you in the great distance, and what a heat-hungry heart of the valley would come to understand, readily, your high ideals?

You cry, suffer, and reflect...

But what kind of rebirth will not be painful?

To free itself, the bird destroys the eggshell cradle where it formed itself, and, in order to produce, the seed suffers the laceration in the unknown pit.

Solitude with work to favor the neighbor generates greatness.

The rock that sustains the plains lives in isolation, as the Sun, which feeds the whole world, shines on its own.

Never tire of learning the science of elevation.

Remember the Lord, who scaled the Calvary with the shoulders wounded by the Cross.

No one followed Him in the ignominious death, except two criminals, constrained to be punished in obedience to justice.

Remember Him and go on...

Do not list the good works you have already done.

Trust in the Eternal Good that awaits you.

Do not wait for the others in the march of sacrifice and aggrandizement.

Do not forget that for the cause of the ministry of redemption that He wielded for all creatures, the Divine Friend of Men not only lived, fought, and suffered alone, but He was also persecuted and crucified.

ARE YOU SICK?

“And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well;

the Lord will raise them up.”

James 5:15

All human creatures get sick, but rare ones cogitate about the real cure. If you are sick, do not believe that the drug action, through the mouth or the pores, can fully restore you.

The pill helps, and injection is helpful; though, never forget that the true evils proceed from the heart.

The mind is a creative source.

Life, little by little, shapes what you want around your steps. What is the use of external medication if you continue sad, distressed, or rebel?

At other times, you ask for help from human doctors or spiritual benefactors, but when the first signs of recovery appear, you abandon the medicine or the salutary advice and turn back to the same abuses that have led you to illness.

How can you regenerate health if you waste long hours in an environment of wrath or discouragement?

The rare indignation, when fair and constructive in the general interest, is always good when we know how to guide it in lifting services; yet, the daily indignation about everything, everyone, and ourselves is a pernicious habit of unforeseeable consequences.

Discouragement, in turn, is an anesthetizing environment which numbs and destroys.

What can we say about the slander or uselessness with which you spend long and valuable time in unfruitful conversation, quenching your strength?

What a miraculous genius will give you the organic balance if you cannot keep silent, nor forgive; if you do not help or understand, and if you do not humble yourself for the superior purposes, nor seek harmony with men?

No matter how fast the rescue assistants of the Earth and the Spiritual Plane work in your favor, you devour your energies, a careless victim of indirect suicide.

If you are sick, my friend...

Above any medication, learn to pray, understand, help, and prepare the heart for the Great Change.

Detach yourself from transient goods loaned to you by the Divine Power, according to the Law of Use, and remember that now or later, you will go back to the Greatest Life, where we always find our consciousness.

Avoid brutality. Enrich your factors of personal sympathy by practicing fraternal love.

Seek intimacy with wisdom through study and meditation. Do not stain your way.

Serve always.

Work on the extension of the right.

Guard loyalty to the superior ideal that enlightens your heart, and remain convinced that if you cultivate the prayer of living faith in all your steps, here or beyond, the Lord will raise you.
