A hidden door opens behind a tapestry, revealing a corridor lined with portraits whose eyes have been scratched out.
The chandelier resumes its sway, but now to a rhythm of refusal.
Susie sketches the sigil in gravy.
Finn whispers; "This wasn't in the script," and the chandelier flickers in agreement.
They realize the dinner has shifted from reenactment to improvisation. The guests are no longer performing history. They're rewriting it.
