When a guest breaks the ritual at De Haar Castle, the architecture itself responds; not with punishment, but with mythic recalibration. The great hall is tuned to ritual frequencies, and any deviation triggers a cascade of symbolic consequences. Susie and Finn, as attuned witnesses, perceive the rupture not as chaos, but as a sacred glitch.
Sir Vermin, emboldened by revolutionary zeal, stands atop the butter dish and declares; "I reject the choreography of inherited gestures!" His tail twitches in unsanctioned rhythms. The chandelier, previously swaying to ancestral tides, halts mid-motion. A silence falls; not empty, but expectant.
The Archivist of Unlit Candles pauses, then begins rearranging the salt shakers into a sigil never seen before. It resembles a broken contract.
Lady Reflection flickers. Her mirrored gown now reflects futures instead of pasts. She mouths a phrase Finn hasn't yet thought.
