Walls began listening. Not metaphorically, actual listening. Echoes no longer bounced. They lingered, as if waiting for emotional resolution.
The acoustics retuned themselves. Chambers once calibrated for irony now hummed with tonal vulnerability. The Hall of Passive-Aggressive Weather developed a soft thunderclap that sounded suspiciously like a heartfelt apology.
Doors unlocked themselves. Not out of mischief, but out of recognition. Finn's locksmithing became ceremonial rather than functional. He now "witnesses" doors open, rather than causes it.
Ritual Disruptions
The Bureau of Unhelpful Gestures found their gestures becoming helpful by accident. Sir Flinchington bowed and someone felt seen. Lady Sigh forecast "emotional clarity with a chance of reconciliation."
Gregory the chandelier began flickering in sync with unspoken truths. His Latin groans softened into lullabies. He now swings only when someone lies.
