Cortez: Sacrifice is sacred, amigos. I offered life through death. That's synergy.
Abraham: You offered syphilis and a pyramid scheme.
Dylan: I offered confusion. And a harmonica solo that lasts 40 years.
Neil: I offered a dream. And a guitar solo that makes grown men weep into their ponchos.
Suddenly, a sock tribunal appears, demanding reparations for centuries of foot oppression.
Sock Judge: This altar is now under the jurisdiction of the Sacred Hosiery. All sacrifices must be metaphorical and involve interpretive dance.
Cortez, confused: I don't do metaphor.
Abraham, relieved: Finally, someone understands my footnotes.
Dylan, to the sock: You ever try rhyming "sacrifice" with "spice rack"? It's harder than it looks.
Neil, to the sky: She loved me to this day .... until she met the sock.
