"The Sacrificial Summit"

Characters:

Cortez, conquistador turned motivational speaker.

Abraham, patriarch with a nervous twitch.

Dylan, cryptic oracle in polka dot pants.

Neil Young, dream-singer with a guitar that bleeds history.

Scene opens with Cortez polishing his sword while humming "Smooth Criminal."

Cortez: Gentlemen, I come bearing gifts; gold, smallpox, and unsolicited urban planning advice.

Abraham: I was told there'd be a ram in the thicket. Instead I get a guy who thinks genocide is a networking strategy.

Dylan, strumming a kazoo: God said to Abraham, "Kill me a son." Abe said, "You got the wrong one." Cortez said, "I'll kill a whole ton." Neil said, "I dreamed this in '71."

Neil Young, emerging from a fog of incense: I saw it all, man. The temples, the blood, the heartbreak. And then she left me for a guy who sells quinoa.
