Chapter 15
My Clothes For The Gala
On December 5th, there were no classes because the school was naturally closed.
That morning, however, I went shopping and purchased a stylish black suit, black pants, a red tie, and a white shirt to wear to the party, scheduled to start at 8 PM and conclude at 4 AM.
Oh! Yes!
The much-anticipated Christ Night Gala for Students had finally arrived, and it brought me immense joy!
Not just for me, but for all students across the Country, in every City.
That morning, I walked from my house to a clothing store to buy the outfit, and the City was beginning to prepare for Christmas, with decorations and Christmas Trees adorning every corner.
It was a joyful time—the best time of the year.
Unlike some other cities in the country, my City does not experience snowfall at the end of the year.
My parents, however, were in a City where it was snowing when I spoke to them on the phone.
Indeed, when I arrived at the clothing store, I noticed it was bustling with shoppers, as it was the end of the year.
So, I spent a few minutes searching for the clothes I wanted.
“Can I help you?” A Sales Associate inquired. “Yes, I would appreciate your help,” I responded.
“Great! What are you looking for?” She asked again.
“I’m searching for a single black suit, black pants, a white shirt, and a red tie for a Gala,” I replied.
“Which section can I find those in?” I asked. “Oh, you’ve come to the right store! We have all kinds of clothes in every size,” she assured me.
“Oh my, that’s wonderful to hear!” I replied. “Okay, right this way.”
“Please follow me,” she instructed. Without hesitation, I followed her to the men's suit and tie section. “Wow, you have a point! I think I chose the right store,” I remarked while admiring the selection of men's suits and ties. “So, what size are you? Which of these suits and ties are you considering?” She asked. “Oh, I’ll take this one; I believe it’s my size!” I replied.
“Alright, no problem.”
“Just wear them in this little room to see if they fit and come back to me,” she instructed.
“Thank you!” I replied and smiled.
I quickly went to try on the dress and returned to her after a few minutes. “It fits me perfectly!” I spoke. “I'll take it.” I also told her. “That's wonderful!” She responded. “Is there anything else?” She asked after I purchased the dress.
“No, that's all!” I replied.
“Thank you very much.” I also told her. “You're welcome!” She responded. “But are you sure?”
“What about your shoes?”
“We also have shoes available here,” she informed me.
“No, thank you.”
“I already have shoes?” I replied. “I'll buy shoes next time,” I told her. “Alright, no problem!” She replied. “Thank you and have a great rest of your day!”
“Goodbye!” She also told me. “Thank you, you too!” I responded, and I stepped outside to catch the bus home. “Oh, she was so kind,” I thought. “In a World filled with people facing challenges, it's important to show kindness to everyone,” I remarked while walking to the bus stop, holding the dress.
