Chapter 11

Xeyamia Visits Me At Home

On Sunday, Xeyamia held me responsible for the rocket launch that created quite a bit of panic in the City, as she had seen the rocket, and I had seen the reported news.

Well, the following day, just one day after I attempted to launch the rocket, I was in the attic checking up on the rocket format when I heard the doorbell ring.

Oh no!

The bell is ringing!

Who could it be?

“It's not the bell ringing,” I thought. “Who is that?” I exclaimed.

In that moment, I hurried downstairs to find out who was at the door.

Sure enough, when I opened it, there stood Xeyamia.

“Xeyamia?” I said curly. “What brings you here?”

“Are you alone?” I asked her. “Hi Werley!”

“Of course! I'm here by myself!” She replied.

“Why?”

“Aren't you happy to see me?” She responded with a smile.

“Oh, my goodness!” I exclaimed. “Of course, I'm glad to see you!”

“Please come in,” I invited her. “Okay! Sure!”

“Thank you!” She said as she entered.

After closing the door, I asked her, “Did you come from your house or somewhere else?”

“Really, Werley? What day is today?” She replied.

“Today is Sunday! Why?” I spoke. “Well, where else would I have left beside the Church? Did you forget that my family and I are Christians?" She replied. “Oh! Right!”

“Forgive me for forgetting,” I said. “Don't worry about it; everyone makes mistakes,” she reassured me. “What about you? What were you doing?” She then asked.

“Oh, nothing much.”

“I was in the attic fixing something,” I replied.

“Alright, but did I interrupt you?”

“If I did, I could leave,” she said. However, during our conversation, we were making our way upstairs to the attic. “No, you're not bothering me.”

“Why do you think that?” I replied. “Okay, if you say so,” she told me. “Where are your parents? Are they back?” She asked.

“No, not yet.”

“My parents haven't returned,” I answered as we entered the attic.

“Wow, this place is cool! You sleep here?” She remarked.

“No, this is my private room where I keep some important things and do other activities,” I explained. “Great! So, what's on the table?” She asked as she saw a drawing paper on a table inside. “Oh, that's exactly what I was doing before you came here!” I responded. “Alright.”

“May I take a look?”

“Allow me to take a look,” she told me. I had no option but to permit her to examine the document.

Upon her inspection, she discovered it contained numerous blueprints for constructing a rocket.

“But Werley?”

“Are you prepared to launch the rocket once more?”

“Despite all the issues it caused,” she asked. “You know what,” I said, scratching my head as I struggled to find a response to what I had previously stated. “If I know what?”

“What?” She asked. “Nothing, just pondering,” I answered. “Are you aware that I came here to hold you accountable for the rocket launch?”

“Did you know the Authorities are searching for you?”

“Who knows what might happen to you if they locate you?” She informed me. “Really.”

“I acknowledge my actions, and I apologize,” I replied, but she was looking at me in such a peculiar way that it made her a bit anxious.

“Am I the only one with grand aspirations?”

“No, I refuse to believe that.”

“However, this aspiration, I must fulfill it someday,” I stated.

“What?”

“You realize you can achieve it on your own, right?”

“And so far, away because when you're in trouble, you're solely responsible for it.” She replied.

“May I pose a question to you?” I asked her. “Go ahead! Ask me right away!” She responded.

“Do you not believe in me?” I questioned her.

“I believe in you, but not in this perilous endeavor.” She replied. “Are you a Hero?”

“Cease pretending to be one before you meet your end!” She also remarked. “Guess what?”

“If I perish, I suppose I will die for the truth.”

“I will die to honor God.” I responded. “However, the Bible never states that anyone should take their own life.” She spoke. “I am not taking my own life; I am preserving it”

“I will be the first person to reveal the truth about what lies beyond the Sky” I replied. “You are rightly comparing yourself,” she told me.

“Why are you making comparisons?”

“I believed there were people who traveled to Space previously, but they never provided further details.” She added. “Am I the one lying, or is it them?” She asked.

“Listen to me! You must pay attention!”

“I don't compare myself to the achievements of others,” I stated. “In fact, I evaluate myself against my own standards, and I take pride in that.”

“It's simply that I won't be afraid or concealed with anything when the opportunity arises to explore what lies beyond our blue Sky,” I replied.

That afternoon, we spent some time together at home until she had to leave later the day when her mother called. “Hello, mother!” She greeted her mother on the phone.

“Hi, sweetheart!” Her mother responded. “Where are you?”

“Can you come help me with something at home?” Her mother asked. “Of course, mother? I'm on my way!” She replied.

At the same time, she informed me of her departure, saying, “I'm leaving!”, “Mom called me!”

“I enjoyed spending time with you at your place.” She told me.

“I enjoyed our time together as well,” I replied.

“I'll see you tomorrow at school.”

After that, we went downstairs, and she headed to her home.

Once I closed the door, I exclaimed, “Oh my God! She is incredibly beautiful!”, “I believe I will marry her before anyone else has the chance to take her away, as she is truly a good woman.”
