Chapter 9
John was a normal teenager. He liked to party and to meet girls. As for
the kingdom and his right as first born male to become king after his father's death, he couldn’t care less. That was the last thing on his priority list if he were to have one. As much as his sister wanted to rule their father's kingdom, he didn’t want anything to do with it. He just wanted to enjoy his youth and party all day long and date as many girls as he could, to his father's disappointment. King Harold wished John had Milly's desire to rule and Milly had John's lack of ambition to rule. But things were quite the opposite.

John was out to the local pub when he saw Roman having a drink in a
dark corner of the room. John knew who Roman was. He wasn't that ignorant. Not caring about ruling Karaland didn’t mean that he was stupid or he didn’t know anything about what was going on in his father's kingdom. So he decided to approach him and see how come he was out of jail.
- Hi Roman, John started while analyzing him. I see you are free… Has my father ordered you to end someone's life?
- Nope, Roman answered without taking his eyes off his pint of beer.- Oh, curious. Then how come you are enjoying a drink and not the dank floor of your cell? And John seated himself next to him.- What is it you? Why should you care? And Roman took out a small knife and pinned it on the table to intimidate John.
- I thought you were working for my father. But if you are free then someone else is involved. Let’s see… John said pondering the facts. Milly? It can only be her. But why has she freed you, Roman?
- John, I know that you are the prince but some things had better remain the way they are and you had better stop inquiring. It's none of your business. Got that? And Roman looked him straight in the eyes.- Ok, ok, take care Roman, and John left in a hurry wondering why had Milly released Roman. And did their father know about it? So was his sister going to have someone murdered? Or maybe she already had…He knew his sister well enough to realize that she would stop at nothing if she set her mind to do something. She was stubborn like a mule and she was under the impression that she was always right and everybody else was wrong, that she always knew better. Which wasn’t the case. John was wondering how come they were so different although they were siblings. Anyway, he was determined to get to the bottom of it.
