Stevie’s Toy Mouse is Gone

In a sunny little town, there lived a cheerful, tabby kitten

named Stevie. Stevie had fluffy fur, bright eyes, and a big,

fluffy tail that swayed as he walked. One sunny morning, as

Stevie stretched and yawned, he noticed something strange and

perplexing. His favorite toy mouse was missing!

“Oh no!” Stevie exclaimed. “Where is my toy mouse? I must find

it!”

Stevie looked left, and he looked right. He didn't see the toy

mouse anywhere. Just then, his friends, Bella the bunny, Daisy

the Dalmatian dog, and Max the mouse, more or less, hopped over.

“Stevie, what's wrong?” asked Bella, twitching her ears.

“My toy mouse is gone!” cried Stevie.

“Let's find it! It will be fun!” barked Daisy, wagging her tail.

So off they went, searching high and low. They looked under the

big tree. “No mouse!” said Bella. They checked by the flower

patch. “Nope, not here!” said Daisy.

Then, they came to the pond. Stevie peered in and saw a big

splash! “What was that?” he asked.

“Let's see!” squeaked Bella.
