64 AN ULTRA VIOLENT FAIRY TALE
“Your wings...” Kickswitch said crying, feeling horrified.
“Keep them,” she shrugged. “just promise me you wont let The Order ever get them or my body.”
“I promise, but...”
“Enough...”
Kickswitch closed her eyes and wiped the tears from her cheeks that were hot and dirty. She took a few deep breaths and swallowed.
“What do I do?” she asked in a monotone voice.
“The blade, in my back push it all the way through so it can cleave my heart in two.” she said, the last word ended on a whistling breath.
“I can’t...”
“Yes you can, it’s dragon bone it will go through with little effort.”
“That...that’s all?”
“Yes.”
With cold clammy hands she gripped the knife handle that felt hot, the fairy moaned a little when she gripped tighter. Kickswitch sucked in a watery breath and held it deep.
“Have a true hand, Kickswitch and love me.” she said looking up at her.
With a short cry of grief she thrust the blade forward until the hilt touched her back. Her body arched as her heart was torn in two by the blade and the radiating light of her eyes went dark and her last breath came out in a slowly dwindling whistle. Kickswitch sat quietly for a while as the city was showered in ashes and the sounds of anarchy echoed down the streets and alleyways.
