31 AN ULTRA VIOLENT FAIRY TALE

Maureen watched Luke go from wary to constipated looking as her own heart dropped down into her stomach. Her body felt like it had been dipped into the waters of a frozen lake. She let out a moan that was babyish and hardly audible.

“She heard about you and Maureen. I’m not one hundred percent sure but I think she’s coming for you, Luke.”

“Oh my God,” Luke said with numb lips. “I thought she’d never get out. When I heard she got arrested I thought somebody was full a shit.”

So did Detroit. You would have an easier time trying to catch a dragon than a fairy, and you’d have to be insane to betray a fairy as they were very violent, vengeful creatures. Luke was selfish and stupid, was he enough of both to try such a thing, Detroit wondered.

“Was it you that got her caught to begin with?” asked Detroit watching him closely.

“Get the fuck outta here. I might not be the genius Eric is but I’m not fuckin retarded. I figured she’d get herself greased by The Order at some point, I mean you saw how crazy she is.”

That Detroit could agree with, although not all fairies were raging malevolent lust filled creatures, Glitterbelle however was. It was the main reason Detroit hurried over to warn Luke for his brother’s sake because this fairy would more than likely burn Crow’s Nest down to the ground and half of Neon City along with it if someone tried to stop her.

“Luke, you tell your brother she’s coming.” said Detroit.

“Don’t tell me what to do.” he said stiffly.

“I advise you...”

“Don’t tell me what to do!” he said marching up to Dickie.

Dickie removed his glasses and gave Luke a swift back hand. He stumbled back as Maureen gasped.

Detroit knowing Luke was nothing but a bitch put his glasses back on and pointed at him with narrow eyes. Luke’s face went red as his hand caressed his hurt cheek, he growled but that was all.
