Officer Gary stared at me for more than a minute. The living room suddenly turned into an awkward room.

He final y laughed “Of course you are innocent. A level three retired citizen with lycan lineage like you wouldn’t be stupid enough to fal in love with a state - corporate slave" he said, and continued. “Ok since our little cute flying Bee drone is scanning the area with several filters for human detection, which I would be very scared of if I were you, please elaborate a little on your lycan history.”

“Pardon me?” I said not knowing the exact nature of his question.

“Yes, how can you control yourself while in the werewolf form? Quite impressive, not everyone can do that. How it happened?” he asked

“Oh I see” I said.

Officer Gary was starting to look like a kid to me by now. Only 10 minutes into his visit and he is acting as if this is a little scholar field trip with lots of fun things to discover. He keeps a smile al the time on his face which I don't know if it's natural or fake. NO Officers can go from friendly to hostile in less than a second. I know this because I worked among them some years before retiring. I retired as a level three. It is enough for me. Buy a decent house and decent money for the rest of my life. I can't buy any luxuries but I don't care. I light up a cigarette. I took a deep breath to tel him the story.
