Meeting your deepest triggers and patterns with conscious curiosity.
- Embracing a certain amount of discomfort as the price of growth. Understanding that deep personal work is not optional if you want to build a sustainable, healthy network of partners.
- Acknowledging that a complex network acts as a powerful mirror, reflecting back unconscious patterns, insecurities, and unresolved wounds more quickly and intensely than a monogamous relationship. This particularly involves uncovering and healing early attachment wounds.
- Taking radical responsibility for your emotional triggers means understanding that, while the actions of others may stimulate a reaction, the intensity of your response often indicates an older, personal wound.
- Identifying and investigating your core relational beliefs that are triggered by network dynamics (e.g., 'I am unlovable', 'I will be abandoned', 'My needs are a burden').
- Practicing non-judgmental curiosity towards your jealousy, fear, envy, and desires, seeing them as messengers offering valuable insights into your unmet needs and boundaries rather than as shameful flaws.
- Disentangling past trauma from the present, and learning to respond to your current partner(s) based on who they are rather than on projections from past hurt.
- Recognising and breaking repetitive communication patterns, such as people-pleasing, withdrawing or blaming, which are automatic defences rooted in past experiences.
- Developing the capacity for self-validation, reducing the dependency on external relationships to confirm your self-worth, lovability, or stability.
- Committing to a lifelong practice of self-inquiry and healing, viewing each relational challenge as an opportunity for personal evolution and greater emotional freedom.
