Your goal is to limit as much as you can anything that takes you into a negative mindset.

Have you ever heard of the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child”? The same principle can be applied to adults. Just because we’re all grown up doesn’t mean we don’t need

grown up nurturing.   We need mentors and other people who will provide advice or examples of wise living. Better still, these people actually become your natural matchmakers, intentionally or unintentionally pointing the way to who would make a good lover or spouse.

Who do you listen to for advice? It’s a good idea to put yourself around people whose mature ways you’d like to emulate, most especially mature couples. This is so important, because we all learn the best lessons in life through example, rather than being lectured or nagged.

Make sure you surround yourself with an environment that is reflective of whom you want to establish a long term, meaningful relationship with. Don’t confine your society circles only to people who do nothing else except club-hopping and getting wasted on Friday nights, or to people who are overly consumed with Facebook or X-box.   Instead, join a positive

social networking website. A nurturing kind of social network will help you focus, keeping yourself completely healthy in body and mind. You’ll be able to build total confidence in yourself, and be confident enough to build a relationship with another
