Breaking New Ground: A Memory

It's now time to write a memory from when you hit rock bottom (the middle of your story).

Use this journal page or write your thoughts in your own notebook. Feel free to write bullet points about what happened or to flesh out an entire scene.

This exercise will help you to remember what it was like to be a person who didn't have the hope of Jesus. This is the point where God broke through to you and broke new ground, introducing you to a world limitless in His goodness. It's true, not everyone will have a "rock bottom moment," but you will have a turning point where God was no longer just some idea or a being your parents taught you about, but your own personal Father and Savior.

"Rock bottom" moments are often the point God tills our soil, shaking up our thinking and circumstances and drawing us close to Him. It's not until our soil is broken that we can grow and flourish.
