CHAPTER SIX

THE DAYS OF NOAH

AS IT WAS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH, SO IT

WILL BE AT THE COMING OF THE SON OF

MAN. FOR IN THE DAYS BEFORE THE

FLOOD, PEOPLE WERE EATING AND

DRINKING, MARRYING AND GIVING IN

MARRIAGE, UP TO THE DAY NOAH

ENTERED THE ARK; AND THEY KNEW

NOTHING ABOUT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN

UNTIL THE FLOOD CAME AND TOOK THEM

ALL AWAY. Matthew 24:37-39.

In Matthew Chapter 24 Jesus clearly outlined the affairs and events that would describe the days before His return. He said these “signs” would increase in

“velocity and ferocity” as the time of His return grows nearer. We are seeing Christ’s words being played out in “real time” today.

I believe that everything Jesus said would be a sign of His return is happening or will happen in this generation.

The signs that He revealed which would precede His return have become a reality today. Jesus said, “When you see all these things happening know that my return is near, even at the door. This generation will not pass away until all these things happen.” (See Matthew 24:33-34).

Witnessing all that is happening in the world today I see evidence that we are living in the generation Jesus 34

was talking about in Matthew Chapter 24. Christians must be ready for the Approaching Apocalypse and the return of Christ, or they will suffer many of the same calamities the rest of the world are and will be experiencing.

One of the most obvious signs that the return of Christ is near are the signs of the days of Noah. In Noah’s day the wickedness of man had reached such a pinnacle that God could no longer tolerate it. It was the transparent and unashamed wickedness and corruption of mankind that ushered in the judgment of the Great Flood upon the inhabitants of the earth.

THE WICKEDNESS OF MANKIND

THE

LORD SAW HOW GREAT THE

WICKEDNESS OF MAN HAD BECOME AND

THAT EVERY INCLINATION OF THE

THOUGHTS OF HIS HEART WAS ONLY

EVIL ALL THE TIME. Genesis 6:5. NIV

What the Lord said regarding Noah’s generation clearly describes today’s generation. It does not take a Rocket Scientist to see the parallel between Noah’s generation and ours. What stands out most in describing Noah’s generation was the wickedness and corruption of mankind, and the fact that people’s hearts were continually inclined to promoting and committing evil.

The Bible tells us that “God saw how corrupt the world had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.” (See Genesis 6:12). NIV. Out of all the people on earth God spared only eight people—

Noah and his family.

35

Noah was a righteous man. The Bible tells us that Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. (See Genesis 6:8). Grace is the favor of God. It is by grace through faith that we are saved. (See Ephesians 2:8). Through the grace of God, Noah and his family were saved from perishing in the flood. The Ark of Safety Noah built became their deliverance from the flood that covered the entire earth.

The Lord stopped the worldwide wickedness and corruption in the days of Noah by sending the Great Flood. When judgment started it did not stop until all the wicked had perished in the flood.

In Noah’s day the people were preoccupied with eating, drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage. In other words, their focus was on earthly pleasures and desires. They were not interested in serving God or listening to the preaching of Noah.

The people in the world were so “engrossed” with their sensual desires they did not heed Noah’s warnings of impending judgment that would be brought about by a worldwide deluge.

The people in Noah’s day scoffed at the idea that God would destroy the earth with a flood. Today the wicked scoff at the idea of worldwide judgment and a flood of

“judgmental events” that could and will destroy them and the evil deeds that they perform.

Today many people are preoccupied with the grossest of sins. Even many that call themselves Christians are preoccupied with the debauchery of “devilish doctrines”

which are taught in many of their churches.

BEING PREOCCUPIED

Today the wicked are preoccupied with their evil desires and obsessions. They cannot see past the evil that rules and reigns within their hearts and minds. They reject the concept that there is a God that despises evil and punishes the wicked. Their thoughts are continually bent toward their evil desires and inclinations. In their minds good has become evil and evil has become good.

The just should be preoccupied with seeking God and knowing the truth. It is the truth that we know which makes us free. If people do not know and embrace the truth, they will be judged accordingly.

Christians should be “preoccupied” with seeking God and knowing the truth which is their only hope of weathering the coming storm. Staying focused on God and the Ark of Safety which Christ has built for us in the

“Secret Place.” Christ is our only hope of experiencing peace and safety during the Great Flood of judgments which are coming. The Great Storm will shower a rain of death and destruction upon the earth and the wicked who dwell upon the earth.

Regarding Mystery Babylon in the Book of Revelation John heard a voice that said, “Come out of her My people, that you be not partakers of her sins and that you receive not of her plagues.” (See Revelation 18:4).

The judgments upon the Whore of Babylon are not meant for the righteous but for the unrighteous. As Christians, although we are in this world we are not of this world. Our Ark of Safety, which is Christ, is our only hope of escaping all the plagues that the rest of the 37

world will be experiencing during the Apocalypse.

Coming out of Mystery Babylon the Nation and the Babylonian System is the call to all of God’s people today.
