Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on thesethings. Philippians 4:8
1. Jesus is true. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6
2. Jesus is honest. "Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way." Psalm 25:8
3. Jesus is just. "He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." Deuteronomy 32:4
4. Jesus word is pure. "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him." Proverbs 30:5
5. Jesus is lovely. "His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely." Song of Solomon 5:16a
6. Jesus' coming is a good report. "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." I Thess. 4:16-17
7. Jesus is full of virtue. "And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all." Luke 6:19
8. Jesus deserves all praise. "...that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." I Peter 4:11b Purpose in your heart today to let your thoughts dwell on Jesus Christ. He is true, honest, just, His Word is pure, lovely, of good report, full of virtue, deserving of praise. "THINK ON THESE THINGS!"
