THAT DREAMER OF DREAMS
How odd,
fifteen-some
years down
this road
when my breasts
yawn
and back
aches
and You with
Your forever
eye,
the whole time
knowing I'll
rest my head,
defeated,
but Your hand
bumps along
the braille
to the moment
I rise
and keep
walking
toward
the dreams
I selfishly
nurse.
