As a snake
Looks at us
We could see
It stare back at us
And try to decide
Where we belonged
The snake and us,

Happily
Ever after
Happily through the city....
As the city fades
And we realize

But we learn
To live

Glow and spread out

We don’t like it,

Scare us
Or make us unsure

Then we meet
The future
She goes first, spiraling outwards
