Over the Moon

Over the moon one night,

I sang to the moon

It responded by singing back

And then I knew

We could be friends with each other

But I didn’t know

How my dreams would affect the moon

As I stood up from the bench

And looked up at the stars

I caught a glimpse of the next day

In the sky,

Sunny and bright

I could hear birds chirping

People running

As I neared the end of the night,

The trees blew around me

I could float into the next day

I felt myself begin to lift up

Into the sunny day before me....

Then I vanished into it and met my friends

We ran through the fields, together

The sun beaming down on us
