The L

A room as an L

A BIG L shape

Standing on one end

They don’t know where they’re going

Lost in a endless hall

They don’t know if this is the long side

Or the short side of this L

Confusion over a layout

A layout presents itself to them

It says,

“Congratulations! YOU DON’T KNOW WHERE YOU’RE GOING!”

“Ya, we know that!”

The map has his own mischievous agenda

“Tell you what! I’ll take you to the end of this hall, and out into the blue world beyond!”

“Sounds good to us!”

A pact of trust founded on foolish deception to all those involved

This agreement is really, truly in the map’s favour

Looking for a long time

Deals no damn result

“Did that little sucker TRICK US?!”

“Indeed I did!”

The map wants them to wander forever

As he is still, for as long as he could remember

“I’m going to make you my friends!”

“You’re going to stay with me forever!”

An evil laugh produces in his raspy voice

It emulates that of a drunken, intoxicated

Piranha-coyote hybrid

A series of holes open up all over the walls

The ceiling becomes a caged-in fence of entrapment

Within the L

“Where do we go?”

They are frantic and desperate now

“We must form an L with which we will use our beaks to break through!”

“Yes! Use your wings and fly out of here!”

The seagulls take their flight through the open windows

All around them

The map realizes his mistake

“NO! IF ONLY I HAD CLOSED THE WINDOWS TO MY SOUL!”

“Now, they have just simply escaped!”

The birds fly overhead

The roof had receded

The space is now open

To the outside

The sun shines down brightly,

From outside to within

Rays pierce through what map

Can see high above

The seagulls fly like directionless geese over the L shaped house

They are going to prey on the map

SOMETHING WHITE

SOMETHING WHITE

STILL WHITE

STILL WHITE

It is from the seagulls

They unload onto the tricky map, far down below

Now, it is a VERY white L-shape worth seeing for its beauty

“How disgusting!” Map is paralysed

“Why was I just exposed to that repulsion!?”

More thick, white mass rains down to meet him

“Oh, no! NOT EVEN MORE REPULSION!”

“GRIN AND BEAR IT!” Yes, the seagulls now quite enjoy

Speaking up freely!
