Missing Mom

The pain inside of my heart

Refuses to go away or stop

Focusing on loving thoughts

Of you mom, even though your now up above

I give you my unconditional love

For that is all I have left to give

I know that your spirit in heaven lives

A prayer is sent to forgive

All the hurts from yesterdays

For when I lost you that sad day in May

My soul went into the lost and found, broken and dismayed

Loneliness filled my very being, with silent sobs

I reached out to the grace of God

I prayed with an open heart

“When I walked through the storm Lord

I felt I could hurt no more

I opened my heart, then you opened the door”

You sent angels from heaven, to guide me along the way

Now all I can do is give thanks and praise

Praying for the grief of losing you eases the pain one day

I will miss you mom until I see you in heaven

For you will always be a most precious blessing

Whether on earth or heaven
