Everything As It Should Be

In the jumbled mess

of who to please,

like being nine again,

your father leaving,

and giving the courtesy

of hating him, too,

because what's left

to love?

But imagine all

Those pieces

of despair,

regret,

Being put

back together,

God's own hand,

And loving him

right back

When he comes

home again,

everything

as it should

be.
