Hence, the post office was particularly flush at the end of the month.
Then there are the stamps, passports, and post office boxes.
Things are a little dodgy here as a thief has to engage a middle man to unload this stuff, and you’re lucky if you can get seventy cents on the dollar for the stamps. Passport papers are totally negotiable. And my compadres and I never wanted to rifle the boxes. We were more interested in, if not being popular with the people, we would not steal from them.
