Chapter 3
Mr. Nelsond Went to Mipota-Ville
Day 2
The following day, bright and early, Mr. Nelsond Benleyberk set off on a vacation to Mipota-Ville, which was situated nearer to Aykourbeng Island.
Well, it was Saturday morning. At that time, Mr. Nelsond Benleyberk, the father of Wowlio and Faradaline Benleyberk, boarded a bus filled with his colleagues who had come to pick him up from his residence. Consequently, Wowlio and Faradaline assisted Mr. Nelsond in loading his three suitcases onto the bus.
However, just moments before the bus arrived to pick him up, he engaged in a brief conversation with his son and daughter in the living room adjacent to the foyer, as they all resided in the same household. Given that Mr. Nelsond was the father and quite elderly, it was Wowlio and Faradaline who took on the responsibility of managing the family's farm and the home following the passing of their mother. “Father?” Faradaline remarked to her dad, Mr. Nelsond, “You are truly going on vacation to Mipota-Ville.”
“Yes, my darling!” Mr. Nelsond responded, “My colleagues and I are heading off on vacation, so I will be away for a few days.”
“But how many days will you be gone?” She inquired.
“Less than 15 days,” Mr. Nelsond answered. “Why? Did you want to go as well?” He asked her.
“Since my mother passed away, I have come to realize that I took her for granted every second or minute I spent without her.”
“There is nothing that brings me more sorrow than the thought that I can no longer share even a second or minute with her.”
“For that reason, I do not wish to experience that same regret with you again,” she replied.
“I understand your feelings, but do not worry, as that is simply how life unfolds!”
“Will you be alone here?”
“No, you will not be alone here; your older brother Wowlio will be with you!” Mr. Nelsond assured her. “Am I correct, Wowlio?” Mr. Nelsond then turned to Wowlio.
“It’s not just Faradaline who will miss you; i will miss you too.”
“But you are right, father; Faradaline will be safe and sound here with me!” Wowlio confirmed to his father, Mr. Nelsond. “Indeed, Rozetta and I instilled values of discipline, unity, love, loyalty, and mutual respect in the upbringing of you two.”
“Thus, if I were to pass away one day, I trust that either ants or God will convey good tidings to me wherever I may be,” Mr. Nelsond shared with Wowlio and Faradaline. “We are truly thankful, father!” They both responded.
At that moment, Mr. Nelsond was comfortably seated on the living room couch, enjoying Peanut Butter and Baked Bread while sipping hot cow's Milk blended with Coffee, which Faradaline had prepared for him in the kitchen, while Wowlio stood nearby by the foyer.
Then A few minutes later, they heard a bus horn outside, and when Wowlio glanced out the window, he noticed a bus parked right in front of their house.
“There's a bus outside,” Wowlio remarked. “A bus?”
“Oh, they have arrived!”
“At last, they are here!” Mr. Nelsond responded.
“Who is outside, father?”
“Are you the one that the bus is picking up?” Faradaline asked Mr. Nelsond. “Yes, my dear?” He confirmed. “My colleagues have arrived; they are here to pick me up!” He explained. Without delay, he rose from the couch, having already eaten and drunk, and handed Faradaline the mug and cup so she could wash them and place them in the kitchen. “Faradaline! Thank you for the breakfast!”
“Please take the mug and cup for me,” Mr. Nelsond expressed his gratitude to his daughter for the meal and encouraged her to take the dishes.
“You're welcome, father!”
“I’m glad to assist you!” She replied and smiled.
By the time Faradaline had gathered the mug and cup from the table, Mr. Nelsond requested Wowlio to help him carry his three suitcases from his room to the bus outside. “What about you, Wowlio?”
“Don’t just stand there watching; do something more for your father!”
“Your father is not too lazy! Get to work my son!” Mr. Nelsond told him. “Help me take my three suitcases from my room to the bus outside!”
“I’m going outside to speak with my colleague, okay?”
“So, I’ll be waiting for the suitcases outside!” He added.
“Okay, father! I’ll bring your three suitcases shortly!” Wowlio replied. “Wonderful! Thank you very much!” Mr. Nelsond said.
Indeed, when Mr. Nelsond emerged and approached the bus, he recognized that it was his colleagues who had come to collect him.
“Mr. Nelsond! Good morning?” The bus driver greeted him.
“Oh, hey guys!”
“Thank you for coming!”
“I was waiting for the date I was expecting you!” Mr. Nelsond responded. “Is everyone on the bus?” He then asked one of his colleagues.
“Absolutely, everyone is here!” Came the reply from a colleague.
“Are you going to travel with just your hands and feet, without any luggage?”
“So, you’re not bringing anything, right?” The bus driver, who was also one of his colleagues, asked.
“No, I’m bringing three suitcases!”
“I’ve sent my son to take them from my room.”
“He should arrive shortly with them,” Mr. Nelsond explained.
Once Mr. Nelsond boarded the bus, he greeted all his colleagues, who were mostly old like him.
“My colleagues are here!” He said, “Good morning, guys!” He greeted everyone on board.
“Hey, Mr. Nelsond! Good morning to you!” Everyone inside the bus responded. “Good morning, everyone!”
“I’m happy to see you all,” Mr. Nelsond expressed.
At that moment, one of his colleagues invited him to sit in the only available seat, saying, “Mr. Nelsond, over here! There’s an empty seat for you; you can sit here!”
“Alright! Thank you very much!” Mr. Nelsond replied.
Shortly after, Wowlio and Faradaline arrived with their three suitcases, assisting the bus driver in placing the suitcases in the Under-Carriage Bays.
“Goodbye, father! Be safe out there!” Wowlio and Faradaline said while waving to their father, who was watching them from inside the bus as it began to pull away.
