Chapter 2
The Slumber
Day 1
On a Friday night, Wowlio Benleyberk, a young black Farmer residing on Aykourbeng Island, experienced a slumber about a stunning white Unicorn that emerged from a large white Cloud formation and gracefully landed on the lush green lawn beside the beautiful blue sea encircling the island. That night, while heavy rain and thunder roared outside, Wowlio was asleep in his room when he had this dream, causing him to shake so much in his sleep that he became alarmed.
So, his little sister rushed into his room after hearing the commotion. When she entered, she shook him awake, but he continued to tremble. “Wow Wowlio!”
“Can you wake up?”
“What’s the matter with you?” Faradaline Benleyberk asked as she urged him to rise. Eventually, Wowlio woke up, opened his eyes, sat up at the edge of the bed, still in his pajamas.
“What’s going on?”
“Were you dreaming?”
“Are you okay?” She asked him again. “Faradaline?”
“I’m fine.”
“Yes, you’re correct.”
“It was just a dream I had,” he responded. “Really?”
“I could tell something was off,” she remarked.
“What did you dream about?” She then asked.
“Faradaline! Did you check the clock?”
“You need to go to sleep now.”
“Can’t you see what time it is?” He replied. “Oh, it’s 10 PM, almost 11 o’clock,” she said.
“I’ll tell you about my dream another day, alright?”
“Maybe tomorrow.”
“Please, go back to your room and get some sleep now,” he urged, sending her off to rest.
“Okay, fine.”
“I’ll remind you tomorrow.”
“Goodnight!” She told him. “Alright, no problem.”
“Thank you for your concern.” He responded.
“And Goodnight to you as well!”
“Don’t forget that I love you very much!” He also told her.
“I love you too.”
“Bye!” She responded. After their conversation, Faradaline got up from the bed, exited the room, and closed the door behind her.
A few minutes later, Wowlio, still sitting on the edge of the bed, gazed out the window and noticed the rain continuing to fall. He then lay back down, allowing sleep to take him once more.
“Oh, my goodness! I saw a stunning white Unicorn Horse radiating from a large Cloud before gracefully touching down on the grass close to the farm.”
“I've frequently heard tales of Unicorns— even encountered them in literature, yet I often ponder their existence!” He remarked as he reflected on the dream from his slumber.
“What was the reason behind that dream, anyway?”
“Only God has the answer!” He added one more before switching off the lamp to allow himself to rest.
