The V Chapter
When I Was Only 6 Years Old
Part 1
My parents chose the name Ley Wendavik for me.
Of course, my name was Ley Wendavik, and I took pride in it! Well, I was born and raised in Sorrento, a town located off the Southern of Italy.
Growing up there broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of life.
And while I was still in the process of learning and striving to support myself in every aspect, including financially, I began to uncover my true talents or potential.
My father was an Explorer and Navigator, while my mother was a dancer, but that did not imply that I would inherit the same talents and paths.
Yes, that's correct.
So, I eventually discovered my genuine talents and potential, which led me to become a known Painter in my hometown, utilizing my skills. In fact, at the age of six, my mother found me creating my very first drawings in my room.
But at that time, my father was away on his sea explorations to earn a living, which was his profession.
To be honest, my mother was astonished and delighted by some of the artworks that I drew at such a young age. Indeed, it was a night, and I remember that I was merely 6 years old, when my mother entered and discovered me in my room creating stunning paintings—works that museums or libraries would have eagerly offered millions if they came across them at that time. “Hun?”
“How are you?”
“And what are you doing?” My mother inquired as she opened my bedroom door and caught sight of me. “Hello Mother! I’m ok!”
“I'm drawing paintings! Why?” I responded. “Oh, that's wonderful!”
“May I see them?” She asked as she approached me. “Of course! Could you come closer?” I replied. “Hun?”
“You created these?” She questioned me. “Yes, mother! Why?” I confirmed and asked her again. “I drew them!” I spoke.
“Wow! You are truly talented!”
“I adore your drawings and paintings!”
“Congrats!”
“Well, I am thrilled to see that my son possesses such talent at this age!” She remarked.
“Do you really think so?”
“Thank you very much!” I responded. Indeed, my mother was understandably surprised because, at my age, it seemed quite improbable for me to produce such precious drawings and paintings.
The artworks included portraits of my parents, as well as drawings of nature, Spiritual Beings, and animals. “I can't wait for your father to return so I can show him the portrait painting of him and me that you made,” my mother expressed. “Oh, I can't wait either!”
“I can't wait!”
“Thank you!” I responded.
