The next morning….
Pastor Connor Drake walking down the corridor with Liam, both in their black cloaks.
Connor, in his timely duty. “Son, don’t forget about the Jubilee tonight. It will be in The Great HalI. I have invited my fellow church friends to this special event. And in full décor. Pastor Roger McKenzie being one of them.”
Liam, confirmed. “Yes. Tauna told me.”
Connor, almost forgetting. “And oh, I have personally put the code word of, ‘En guard,’ as a fun secret decoding for that special greeting on their invitation in order to get in. So that nothing goes wrong at the door. Only for the invited. Others not having the code word to be denied by the guard. Let’s just hope they don’t take the code word as literal sense. I wouldn’t want anything to ruin one of my favorite events of the year.”
Liam, in wry dimpled smirk. “Gotcha Sir.” Connor, about to go into his office. “Any updates on that Sir Ralphane Belger yet?”
Liam, stood direct. ” No Sir. But Devon, Tremen, my Father and Inspector Crouse are expecting me in their room for those updates. Its Devon and Tremen’s final exams on computer.”
Pastor Connor, in reason. “Yes, of course. As both of their studies in Police Detections in Investigations. I sure hope you find out soon. And make sure that you all be there.” He closes his door.
Liam, “Yes Sir.” Seeing the guests coming in, moving onward to his son’s room.
Liam and Inspector Crouse with Sir Willam diligently watch Devon and Tremen at their hand at searching for answers on the computer.
Devon, sitting next to his cousin, Tremen, up right to their shared computer. “Me and Tremen were given Video Surveillance System camera, or as we like calling it, ‘Spy Cam’ as part of our studies on Detection. We set up a camera in the upper right corner of The Great Hall so we can see the whole picure of the activities happening. We can even type in key words to find important information.
Tremen, tapping on the zoom in mode. “And this let’s us view anything up close to see in details. Its our favorite button. Watch this, it will blow your mind.”
Liam, looking witty at Inspector Crouse, with dimpled smirk. “I’m sure it will.”
The inspector giving his smirk back at Liam.
The camera showing the guests up close entering into the Great Hall one by one.
Trey, in observation. “No unusual activity.”
Devon, demonstrating more of the high powerful electronic.” And on this awesome device, it even comes with an ever awesome gadit that can detect each individual person as they enter into the room, it automatically displays the names of each person in the little box on the screen. For example.” He taps one more time on the ‘zoom in lenz’ as it showed the name of, ‘Pastor Connor Drake.’ “Yep-Grandad. What can I say, the brillance of it. And just think, its all interconnected.”
Liam, with dimpled smirk. “Brilliant.”
Inspector Crouse leaned in. “Except, some of these names from what I have seen from the list, is not matching. And our invited was instructed to come with full attire of black cloaks. Looks like some apparently did not get the instructions right coming in blue cloaks instead. Devon, try to zoom into the ones with blue cloaks.”
Devon, zooming in closer on a particular man in blue cloak, as the box showed the name of ‘Emet Adle’. then to another next to him, ‘Arel Evet’, yet another box showing the name of ‘Yasher Von’. The other five men, of random names not on the list, all in blue cloaks. Then finally, a name caught their attention.
Inspector Crouse, “Oh Sweet Mother Mary of God.”
Liam, seeing the name of, Sir Ralphane Belger, his eyes opened to the truth. “Oh, Bloody Hell. They’re all here. They’re all in on it. They’ve infiltrated the Great Hall surrounded them.”
Inspector Crouse, in acknowledgement. “And just in time for the Jubilee.”
Sir William, at attention. “He’s after my Mariam.”
Liam, with stragety, leaned inward. “Devon, can you send me a signal to my cell phone,as guest,codeword,’En-Garde.’”
Devon, with speedy fingers, then pressed ‘Enter’.
Liam, in a split second, hearing the peeping signal, checks his cell phone with a dimpled sly smirk. “Brilliant.” Placing his hand upon his son’s shoulder. “Well done son. You know what to do.” Reaching for his sword.” Trey, prepare. Devon, Tremen, follow after.”
Devon, looking at Tremen, Tremen, looking at Devon in sly wits, both tapped on one button, then getting up from their seats, putting on their black cloaks, follow their fathers.
Sir William, Sir Liam, Detective Trey, inspector Crouse, treading down the hallway, with Devon and Tremen coming behind them, then, one by one standing in position of two lines in triangular formation of each other, Liam and Trey being the forefront. In their black cloaks, their swords ready to walk into the great hall in embattlement. But first, to give out warning to the rest of family present inside. Liam , taking his phone, tapping on it. “Tauna. I don’t have time to explain. Is Mother near you?”
Tauna, “Yes. She’s next to me. Along with many other people for the Jubilee.”
Liam, with wry. “Good. Get you, Bren, and Lauren, and all our family out of the room now! Take my mother quietly leaving the room. Do whatever it takes and get out! Buckle up love, me and the boys. We’re about to come in like the calvery to round up ‘The Men of Unknown Origin’, before they snatch my mother again!” He taps off his phone, tucking it inside his trenchcoat pocket. Standing poised and ready. “Everyone. Swords up on my signal!”
Tauna, taking his mother’s hand. “ Mariam. It is of vital importance to leave the room immediately. The Men of Unknown Origin. They are here, come with us for safety.”
Mariam, looking around to see a familiar man, Sir Ralphane Belger looking straight at her. Then, Tauna, wife of Liam, Bren,Wife of Pastor Connor, Lauren, wife of Trey, Mariam, reunited to her Sir William, Maid Elise, married to Inspector Crouse, Breyen. Wife of Sir Devon with young William and Saren, with year old baby, Kayly to her husband Tremen and Mary, Wife to Pastor Roger McKenzie, not making it out in time, but instead hustled their way into a corner of the room, huddled with each other out of harm’s way.
Proceeding their entrance into the room, Liam, leading the way, as the men of valor inconspicuously tread to different parts of the room as they navigated their way to cautiously surround the enemy, Sir Ralphane Belger.
Devon and Tremen, following in their fathers’ footsteps.
Liam, seeing Connor …..
Connor, in a delightful conversation of smiling glee between him and a gentleman guest, as he turned to see Liam taking his hand touching the tip of his sword’s hilt with a slow gesture of withdrawing warning, then seeing Trey, Sir William and Inspector Crouse, all in the likes of The Three Musketeer’s, his face grew dim. “Ohhhhh Lord.” He murmured as he prepared himself.
Zeroing in on Sir Raphene Belger, Raphene, noticing their tracing towards him. With suspicious eyes, he spies certain movements within the crowd of people as he began moving in and out of line of the guests in route to Mariam like in a game of chess trying to out wit and maneuver his strategy over the odds of an incoming Sir Wiliam, but suddenly turns to see in front of him, Detective Liam Niles directly pointing his sword at Sir Ralphane Belger. His plan threatened, as Sir Belger, taking a step back, raised his sword up in the air to signal for his loyal network of compadres to come forth.
Liam, along with Trey and Inspector Crouse and Sir William on one side of four, and Sir Ralphane with his compadres of ten men of Blue Cloaks on the other side. Both sides raising their swords at each other.
Sir Ralphane, seeing this in comparsome to his men. Chuckled out loud. “Well, well. I see your four are outnumbered to my ten men.”
Liam, in stragetic thought with a wry grin on his face. “Except you over look one possibility of what could go wrong.”
Sir Raphane, snickered. “ And what’s that?”
Liam, with sly grin.“I always have my back up-Engarde!”
Suddenly, as each of the ten clergy men as guests, in flipping back their black cloaks, each one of them pulling out their own sword, pointing their swords directly at Sir Ralphane Belger, and his Blue Cloak men, stood ready.
Liam, standing his ground. “This is so cliché of you villians. Always thinking so little of your hostage. You thought you had her wrapped around your grubby fingers in your ruthless game plan of extortion. Yes. It took time for her to discover your malicious plot in piracy, but she’s the one that had you all in the palm of her hand coming to Chivalry Chapel. Now you will have to deal with me.” With gritted teeth. “You have one chance at pardon, or see your penance coming after you, you bloody bastard!”
Sir Ralphane Belger. Refusing, takes his treading steps to Liam pointing his sword directly at him in a daring position. “How clever of you. But you’re no match for me. I’ll take it from here. Taking what I came here for. The deed to Chivalry Chapel.
Liam, his sword just inches in front of him. “Remove your sword!” Staring down at him in ridged deep warning.
Sir Ralphane, with brute lips, in a fit of rage, hurled his sword at Liam.
Liam, hurled it back at him, slamming his sword on top of his, thrashing his sword down in fury. Sir ralphane, once again hurled his sword at Liam.
Liam, quickly lift his sword, parried at his in defense, then swung back at him
Sir Ralphane ferociously swung again.
Liam, furiously swung back at him.
Sir Ralphane, about to lose his steps.”Engage!!!”
Sir Ralphane‘s men in blue cloaks, taking their swords, going after their oppenants.
The men from both sides charging after each other, striking, swinging, ducking, moving side to side with their swords at each other. The clergy knights, in the likes of that of the Templar Knights, of Pastor Connor’s side in their black cloaks, thrashing back at them.
Trey adding to them, Devon and Tremen, seeing their fathers’ fighting, taking up their swords with the men of black cloaks enmeshing within the fight with them.
Ralphane, going after Liam, thrusting his weapon harder at him.
Liam, once again, swings his sword at the him, not yielding.
With every direct hit of clashing clinks of their swords at each other in vigorous defiance, the constant bashing of their competing swords at each other as both cold steel blades collided in paused crosswords. Strength against strength, endurance against endurance.
Liam, shoving him off, resuming the challenge.
Pastor Roger McKenzie within his swordsmen of clergy, moment by moment, one sword hurled at the other swords opponent’s head, blocking hit after hit, parrying from side to side in nonstop adamancy. The loud clashing of steel to steel clinks of embattlement between them filled the atmosphere throughout the castle’s Great Hall in their one on one combating formation, thrashing their weapons at each other in fury.
Sir William next to Inspector Crouse in furious swooped swing of his thick-blade sword, bashed a direct straight hard hit at the sword, breaking their opponate’s sword’s blade in half, as the blade bit flung to the floor, as they’re fighting continues, while their adversaries beginning to drop to the floor defeated.
Breyen Niles, daughter of Pastor Roger McKenzie, turning around to see Marquess Reban Macron,of the kingdom, Zephron. Entering into the room, followed by his wife, her sister, Marchioness Brandy Macron in her royal attire, coming forth to her and their mother Mary.
Breyen, in surprise visit. “Brandy!”
Brandy, in welcomed smile. “Yes, We heard. But first, We come to you and Father and Mother in good tidings of wonderful news of our expecting child. Our son. But I see Father is rather busy at the moment.”
Breyen, with their mother Mary, placing their hands onto her protruding belly of her second trimester.
Brandy, placing her hand on top of her sister and mother’s hand. “Mother, you will meet your Grandson, Sister, you will meet your nephew in three months. Now.What kind of monstrosity is this before me!?”
Breyen, in urgency. “We are being attacked within our own castle walls!”
Marchous Brandy stood forthright in her noble position. “Right. This will cease! Reban. Avenge my sister’s enemies!”
Marquess Reban, stood ready. “Which ones?”
Brandy goes to him. “The Blue Cloaks.“
Reban, raising his sword in sworn alli, moves forth going to his first blue cloak enemy, then swinging his sword at his enemy with a mighty thrashing whack as his enemy instantly falls to the floor, furthermore, whacking more blue cloaks as they fall to the floor, one by one, like lined up dominoes faltering beside each other.
Pastor Connor, watching all his knights fighting mighty to swing hard and fast, never to be defeated but to endeavor to stay strong in fighting the good fight.
The family watching in gripping intensity of the outcome.
Tauna, in the group of her lady folk, seeing a glowing illumination of light and dark azure hughs emerging from the far side of the room coming from the chancery’s door, as if Sir Knight John Drake calling out to her, as she, leaving the group, began her journey to slowly walk into the glowing past of the 16th century.
Bren, seeing her daughter, as in her dream fulfilled , watches in astound mystery.
Tauna, then began to walk in a circular formation to each corner of the room, encircling the room’s parameter while watching her brave knights of Chivalry Chapel fight in her honor and for the preservation of Chivalry Chapel forever.
And in the midst of her circling journey, while walking through the dark azure hughs coming through the ancient arched windows of Sir Knight John Drake’s time, her clothing morphing into the likes of a Ladies medieval attire of garnet gown Cotehardie. Her long hair in luster of auburn. In each step she took, as though in a slowed down motion dream, in her time of nobility, watching Sir Liam William Niles, also known as Detective Liam Niles, her detective knight, fighting in his love and oath to her.
The room filled with the sounds of clashing swords as she entered into her final step of full circle journey, in continued observation, she stood attentive to the slow fading into the end of the age of Chivalry Chapel’s fulfulled destiny,
Lady Marie Drake Niles stood in front of the embattlement then to her family to see her son and heir of nobility Sir Knight Devon Niles, in his noble fighting, then her husband, Sir Knight Liam Niles, continuing in giving his mighty strikes in his strength with a direct hard hit, upon Sir Ralphane as Ralphane’s sword quickly ripping out from his now defeated hands.
Then seeing the rest of Sir Ralphane’s men withdrawing their swords in surrender as the gallant knight, Detective Liam Niles, and his men has conquered as declared winner! She now has seen in the last of her journey, the last outcome in defeating her adversary.
Bren, along with Mariam, Lauren, Breyen with young William, Saren, with young child, Brandy, Maid Elise, and Mary, as they stay close together in the witnessing of the coming and closing of yesteryear of the 16th century. Detective Liam Niles, alias as Sir Knight Liam Niles, rising from his gallant valor, turned to see his Lady Tauna Drake Niles in full array of splendor, as Tauna proceeds to walk toward him walking back out of the fading Azure hugh glow of yesteryear going back into her own time of her clothing morphing back into her usual fashion of plain long skirt and peasant shirt with girdled belt as she stood in front of him, both mesmerized at each other of an unexplained providence.
Their family watching them in the midst of defeated maimed enemies at their feet and of their gallantry of their conquest in conquering achievement in the last crusade.
