And we are going to have to fight him even to the very end of our lives, if needed to destroy him first. And it could get very nasty.”

Inspector Crouse in heavy thought. “Yes. But he saw you and walked away. Why?”

Liam in heavy thought of question. “Yes. His eyes were directly set on me. As though something scathing. He’s setting up something.”

Inspector Crouse with possible answer. “I have looked into this assignment. Though retired, I still managed to find something of interest. And I think it will be of interest to you too. I will text the information to you. It will help in this investigation to prepare.”

Liam, acknowledged. “Right. And what he’s strategizing next, we must be ready.”

Liam with Trey, Inspector Crouse, treading the corridor.

The Black Knight emerges in front of Inspector Crouse, in sneak attack, taking his robust fist, strikes him down to the floor.

Trey, about to strike The Black Knight back in retaliation, but Liam seeing Crouse injured but still able to move, stayed in place, as Liam, coming face to face with the black knight,

“TREY-STAND DOWN TREY! HOLD YOUR GROUND!”

The Black Knight looking directly at Liam, stood in challenge of him. Then walks away and disappears.

Liam and Trey goes to Inspector Crouse helping him up onto his feet. Severely limping.

Crouse stood annoyed. “He’s gone but he will be back and with another challenge.”

Liam,in care of him. “Crouse, you are now out of this picture, go home to your wife. We will take it from here.”

Inspector Crouse, putting his hand into his pocket, pulling out a small device to show him. “This is a device I personally made. It’s safe in the pocket, but explodes on impact. Take it my friend.”

Liam , taking the device from him, placed his hand of close friendship on his shoulder. Gave him his word of acceptance.

Inspector Crouse, being escorted by Trey going back to his wife Elise severely limping.

Liam, taking a close look at the device, the design small, sleek but highly contained and powerful.

Holding the device into the palm of his hand, closing his fingers around it making his hand into a fist, with a sly, wry mouth, he places the device into his trench coat pocket.
