The next day….

Liam knocked upon Pastor Connor’s door.

Pastor Connor, “Come in!”

Liam with respect, open the door entered.

Pastor Connor, attentive. “What is it son”?

Liam, recalled. “Sir. Of lately. I’ve been having dreams. “

Pastor Connor, “And what are these dreams?”

Liam, confided. “The dreams was rather dark around me. Like a dark aura of a closed off tomb in a moonlit room. In another dream, my mind with visions of embattlement, yet it’s not me. And then, something keeps calling me to the chancery. A mystery I must investigate of why.”

Pastor Connor, took note. “I see. And now, the adversary roams amongst us.”

Liam, clarified.“You mean Jack McConol.”

Pastor Connor ,concurred. “Aye. Much to our displeasure. His claims of his half as beneficiary of Chivalry Chapel. But I’m afraid my hands are tied to his acquiesce of demands as I do recall long ago written within the ancient manuscript with the answers we need for this proof. These dreams you are having. Do they relate to the possibility to Sir Drake perhaps? ”

Liam, sighed. “That Sir, I can not ascertain at this time.”

Pastor Connor, going to his desk, taking a skeleton key from his top drawer, placed his hand upon Liam’s shoulder. “Only the great master detective, Liam Niles can solve this mystery, along with his younger brother Trey beside him. And with the assistance of Inspector Crouse. May God guide you in your endeavor for the truth son.” Handing the key to him. “Heed my words. Do not let Jack foresee you in your quest for this knowledge. Now. My duties await for me.” He walks out.

Liam, placing the key into his trench coat pocket, leaving the room, treading down the long corridor, goes to the end of the corridor’s ancient doorway with a plaque with the words displayed, ‘Chancery’. He inconspicuously looks around in secrecy then taking the skeleton key from his trenchcoat pocket, places the key into the keyhole, twisting to unlock the door, then stealthily enters inside the chancery, shutting the door.

The ambiance of dark blue gothic tinted hughs of ancient times filled the room. Seeing the armor of Sir Knight John Drake, he swiftly goes to it, standing by it, his attention gazed at the shining armor as a knight about to prepare for battle as if his own ownership of it. He turns to search for the ancient manuscript looking around Sir Drake’s effigy. Recalling Bren’s attained ancient manuscript at one time, next to the effigy, he sees the ancient wooden chest, crouching down to a one-leg kneeling position, ever slowly lift the lid, he began the sorting through relics until he comes upon an old parchment book like manuscript in medieval-twined-leather binding. Ever so carefully taking it from the Chest, he rose placing into one hand, his other hand flips through the pages. With a dimpled grin of conclusion set upon the document deed of Chivalry Chapel, closing the manuscript, then closing the lid, he ever so carefully takes it with him while obscurely walks back out, closing and locking the door, going back towards his Father –in –law’s room.

Pastor Connor, Like a holy of all holy shrouds, he ever so carefully takes the manuscript into his hands. “Sir Knight John Drake’s sacred manuscript. “ He Proceeded to open the ancient book. “The Document Deed. Some of the words have faded in time with old english. I will carefully examine it with modern interpretation. The priest at that time hid it well from the Drake’s enemy.“

As the legend goes, My forefather Sir Knight John Drake endowed the rights to the priest to hide Sir John Drakes Signet ring, in which you did retrieve for us. And now the deed.”

Liam, focused. “The priest at that time….what happened to the priest?”

Pastor Connor, “He became the gatekeeper of Chivalry Chapel. watching over Sir Drake’s family of his wife and child with a few commoners.”

Liam, “And Sir Drake. What became of him?”

Pastor Connor, “That is the mystery. We don’t know.”
