Marcus' Last Nightmare!
Marcus is laying in his bed tossing and turning. He is having another nightmare!
NIGHTMARE:
Marcus finds himself right back in the same area in the dark dim isolated school hallway where it all started. He is frightened, scared, bleeding and injured as he steps backwards towards the end of the hallway looking back towards the end of the hallway as he continues to cry and slowly back away with his body bent forward in pain. He is getting closer to the end of the hallway where the large window and exit sign are. The eerie sounds of the crickets coming from outside the window become louder as Marcus gets closer to the end of the hallway. He quickly turns his head back forward and looks back at Diane D who is standing way down the hallway staring at him giving him a cold stare as she ignores her cell while it is ringing inside her pants pocket.

Marcus gets further away from Diane D. He suddenly hears Diane D’s cell phone stop ringing. He stops right in his tracks and anxiously looks towards Diane D’s cell phone again. He frighteningly looks at Diane D again as he slowly starts to back away from her again. Suddenly, he hears his cell phone ringing again which is still laying on the floor in the distance not too far from Diane D. Marcus stops right in his tracks again. He anxiously looks at his cell phone! He frighteningly looks at Diane D again!
Diane D continues to stand there in the dark in a trance like state giving Marcus a firm hard stare as her face remains pale, bruised, bleeding and half dead with her eyes very puffy, practically swollen shut and half dead.
Marcus frighteningly runs and rolls down the stairwell screaming! He looks up and hears heavy footsteps jumping and charging down the top flight of stairs after him! He screams even more with his body still bent forward in pain!
Marcus reaches the first floor landing as he continues to cry and scream! He quickly runs towards the first floor stairwell doors as his body remains bent forward shouting, “Aaaaaahh! Help me! Somebody help me please! Aaaaaahh!"
Suddenly Diane D jumps and charges down the flight of stairs with a long cord or wire in her hands and runs right towards Marcus! She catches up to Marcus and violently grabs him by the neck! "Aaaaahh!" Marcus screams as Diane D jerks him then throws the cord or wire right over his head! She then wraps the cord or wire right around Marcus' neck! "Aaaaahh!" Marcus screams as Diane D makes the wire into a noose around his neck! Diane D tightens the noose as Marcus chokes and struggles to break free from the cord or wire! Diane D then takes the other end of the cord or wire then drags the other end of the cord or wire the other way towards the back of the stairwell as the other end of the cord or wire chokes, pulls and drags Marcus by the neck! Marcus struggles to breathe and tries to free himself from the cord or wire!
"Aaaahh someone please help me!" Marcus coughs and screams as he is being choked by the wired noose! "Help meee! Someone help me please!" Marcus coughs and screams as he is being dragged away!
Diane D drags Marcus behind the stairwell! She then goes right through the wall behind the stairwell and drags Marcus right through the wall dragging him into a dark universe that's behind the wall. "Aaaahh!" Marcus screams as he goes into the dark universe. "Aaaaaahh!........"
PRESENT:
"Aaaaaahhh!" Marcus wakes up screaming from his nightmare again! Jessica, Vanessa and Richard rush right into his room again!
They rush right to him and shout, "Marcus!" They bend to him and grab him! They sit on his bed and hold tightly onto him as Vanessa shouts, "Marcus Marcus Marcus!
It's okay! It's us!"
"Aaaahhh, help me, help me!" Marcus screams as he sits up on his bed. "She's still after me! She keeps coming after me in the back stairwell of the school! This time in the dream, she actually caught up with me!"
"What!" Vanessa, Jessica and Richard shout.
"Diane D caught up with you this time?!" Vanessa shouts. "Because in all your 231
other dreams and nightmares, she's never caught up with you! You were always able to escape her!"
"But this time, I didn't escape her Grandma!" Marcus shouts. "This time, she actually caught up to me!"
"Oh Lord!"
"What did Diane D do when she caught up with you Marcus?!" Jessica asks.
"She grabbed me!" Marcus shouts.
"She grabbed you?!"
"Yes!"
"Then what happened?"
"She wrapped a cord or wire around my neck!"
"She what!" Jessica, Vanessa and Richard shout.
"She wrapped a cord or wire around your neck?!" Jessica shouts.
"Yes!" Marcus shouts.
"My God! Then what happened?"
"She started to drag me!"
"She dragged you?!"
"Yes!"
"To where?!"
"I don't know! All I know, is that she was dragging me to a dark place behind the stairwell!"
"To a dark place behind the stairwell?" Vanessa shouts.
"Yeah! Sort of like a dark universe."
"A dark universe?!"
"Yes!"
"How did her face look like?"
"Almost like a dead person!"
"What!" Vanessa, Jessica and Richard shout. "Like a dead person?!"
"What do you mean almost like a dead person Marcus?!" Vanessa shouts. "A dead person's face normally have no color! Their face is usually pale! Was her face pale? Is that what you're trying to say?"
"Yes Grandma!" Marcus shouts. "Her face was pale!"
"It was?! My God! So altogether, Diane D caught up to you, grabbed you, wrapped a cord or wire around your neck, then dragged you to a dark place behind the stairwell?"
"Exactly!"
"Oh my God Marcus!" Jessica shouts. "Since you said Diane D has never caught up to you before in any of your other dreams and nightmares, but caught up to you in your nightmare this time, I hope it's not a sign!"
"A sign?"
"Yeah! I hope it doesn't mean that her other personality or personalities are going to REALLY come after you!"
"Oh no! You think it could really be a sign Mom?!"
"It's a possibility! One of her other personalities already killed two police officers!"
"Oh no!" Marcus and Richard shout.
"Two police officers already died, so did a swat team member!"
"A swat team member too?!" Marcus shouts. "Oh no! That's three people Diane D's 232
other personality killed so far!"
"That's right that's three people! We don't know how many more of those injured authority figures might pass away! Remember Officer Henley told us that one of Diane D's other personalities did tell the doctors that it already knows where you are!"
"Oh no!"
"But don't worry Marcus. There's only one way to handle this situation."
"One way?"
"Yes."
"And what way is that Mom?!"
"Get my gun and SHOOT the monster!"
"What! You would really do that Mom?!"
"Of course I would do that Marcus! You're my child! What kind of mother would I be, if I didn't try to protect my children?!"
"Marcus why don't you just accept Diane D's forgiveness," Vanessa says. "Maybe this will all end!"
"No I'm not going to accept her forgiveness Grandma!" Marcus shouts.
"Why not?!"
"Because I don't want to face her!"
"So you would rather face her in your dreams and nightmares for the rest of your life?!"
"I don't know! I don't know what I'm going to do!"
"I know what you can do Marcus. Try to accept Diane D's forgiveness once and for all because we cannot keep going through this! This has been going on for the past three years! I have had lots of sleepless nights because this! This can't keep going on!
Think about accepting Diane D's forgiveness, for my sake, okay?"
"That's right Marcus," Jessica says. "Accept Diane D's forgiveness, because I don't want her other personality or personalities to make any more threats against you then act on those threats! Do you want what happened to you inside that school hallway three years ago to happen again?! I don't want to have to use my gun, but I will use it if that monster decides to step foot anywhere towards this direction!"
Marcus nervously looks at his family. He then says, "Okay."
"Okay?!" Jessica and Vanessa shout.
"Okay what Marcus?!" Vanessa asks.
"I will accept Diane D's forgiveness," Marcus says.
"What!" Jessica and Vanessa shout. "Really Marcus?!"
"Yeah."
"Oh that is so good to hear!" Jessica shouts.
"I'm so glad to hear that Marcus!" Vanessa shouts. "I'm sure this will all finally end if you would just accept Diane D's forgiveness."
"That's right Marcus. Now that we got that out of the bag, do you want to come sleep in my room since this nightmare has gotten worse?"
"No that's okay Mom," Marcus nervously says. "I think I'll be okay."
"Oh yeah? Are you sure?"
"Yeah I'm sure. I'll be okay."
"Now that's what I want to hear! Are you planning to go back to sleep?"
"No, I think I'll stay up. It's almost daylight."
"Okay Marcus. We're going to head back to sleep. See you at breakfast."

"Bye baby." Jessica, Vanessa and Richard stand back up. They lean to Marcus and give him a loving kiss. They turn and head towards the doorway. They take one last look at Marcus and leave the room.
Marcus looks towards the doorway. He then whispers to himself, "No you won't see me at breakfast because what you all just gave me, was a goodbye kiss! I won't be here anymore." He then looks up in the air and says, "Okay Diane D's other personality!
You want me so bad? Well you got me because here I come!" Marcus gets out of the bed. He turns to his bed and grabs the sheets. He starts to pull all the sheets off his bed. He balls up all the sheets. He holds the sheets and quietly heads for the doorway.
He goes out the bedroom into the hallway with the sheets.
Marcus quietly walks through the hallway holding the balled up sheets and heads towards the bathroom as he looks around. He quietly goes into the bathroom. He then shuts the door behind himself.
Later on that morning, Jessica is surrounded by Officer Henley and other police officers as she cries her eyes out shouting, “See? Marcus was right! There IS a monster inside Diane D! I always knew that woman was possessed by something when Marcus first told me what he went through with her on that third floor school hallway that night! I always knew! I don't know why you officers didn't just arrest her when Marcus first told you about the nightmares he's been having about her!"
"Miss Whitley, Diane D hasn't been around Marcus since that night he had an encounter with her on that third floor school hallway a few years ago!" Officer Henley says. "She has nothing to do with Marcus' death, she was nowhere around when his death happened. She was in the hospital when this horrible incident happened and she still is in the hospital. She hasn't been released yet." Jessica continues to cry her eyes out. Officer Henley then asks, "How is your mom doing?"
"My mom is traumatized! Marcus was her life! She's so traumatized that she had to be taken to the hospital!"
"She was taken to the hospital?"
"Yes!"
"I'm sorry to hear about that Miss Whitley. How is Richard doing?"
"He's traumatized too! He had to be taken to the hospital also! He literally passed out when he realized what happened to his brother!"
"Oh no."
Jessica continues to cry her eyes out as Officer Henley and the other police officers sadly continue to surround her.
The next day, Candis is inside her apartment with Jonathan her ex-Jamaican boyfriend/fiancé who is also Diane D's former lover. Candis and Jonathan are looking at a newspaper article with a headline that reads: MARCUS, THE LITTLE BOY
CLAIMED TO HAVE BEEN BEAT UP BY DIANE D INSIDE A SCHOOL HALLWAY
THREE YEARS AGO TAKES HIS OWN LIFE!: "Wow!" Candis shouts. "See Jonathan?!
I told you that there's something about Diane D that gives me the creeps, I told you that! You see what she put that poor little boy through?! His nightmares of her caused him to take his own life!"

"Oh my God!" Jonathan says. "Does it say how he killed himself?"
"Yeah. It says he had hung himself with bedsheets inside his family's bathroom!"
"Oh no!"
"I know! It's sad! It's sad that the only way this kid felt to escape his torment of Diane D was to take his own life! My God! I almost had nightmares about Diane D
myself, when I found out that she sped her car all the way from her family's organization t0 come several miles away to beat me up in the parking lot behind this building?! And the creepy thing is, I didn't even know she knew about me, but she knew all about me! She knew exactly where to find me when she sped her car all the way over here to attack me in the parking lot! And you need to stay away from her too Johnathan! If you get her upset, that other soul, spirit, personality or personalities of hers might come after you too then you'll wind up going through what that poor little boy went through, having nightmares about Diane D!"
"Candis I haven't been around Diane D in a few years! The only time I see her, is when she's on stage when I come to see her family's shows, that's it!"
"Does she know about that kid Marcus taking his own life because of her?! Does she know about it?!"
"I don't know Candis. As far as I know, Diane D is still in the hospital sedated because of her injuries. Once she's released from that hospital, I think they're going to have her transferred right back to the mental institution again."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Good! This time, I hope she stays in the mental institution and never comes out!
When is this little boy's funeral? I would like to go there and give his family some moral support. I want to show my condolences."
"You do?"
"Yeah."
"Well I don't know when his funeral is Candis."
"That's okay, I'll try to find out." Candis continues to read the article as Jonathan sadly looks at the article.
Four days later, Marcus has a funeral. He is inside a closed casket as Officer Henley, other police officers, Candis, Jonathan, Marcus' old school teachers, his new school teachers, his old classmates, his new classmates and thousands of other people attend his funeral. Jessica is at the side crying her eyes out as Officer Henley and other people try to comfort her. Candis approaches Officer Henley. She says to him, "Um excuse me Officer?" Officer Henley turns to Candis as she says to him, "I'm just curious to know, where is her mom and her older son?"
"They are both traumatized by all of this," Officer Henley says. "They couldn't be here."
"No?"
"No. They're in the hospital."
"What! They're in the hospital?!"
"Yes they are."
"Oh my God. Sorry this all happened. Did that kid Marcus' nightmares of Diane D
cause him to take his own life?"
"I'm afraid it did."

"Oh my! That poor kid! The doctors couldn't help him?"
"They tried to, but didn't succeed."
"Wow. Well I hope the kid is finally resting in peace."
"I think he is. After the ordeal he went through for three years, I think he deserves some peace now."
"Yeah me too. Thank you Officer."
"You're welcome." Officer Henley and Candis sadly look at Jessica. Candis and Jonathan then turn and walk away.
Candis and Jonathan approach Marcus' casket and sadly look at it. Candis then turns around and looks at the crowd. She then says, "Oh my God."
Jonathan puzzled looks at Candis and asks, "What's wrong?"
"I see Diane D's family!"
"What! You see her family?"
"Yeah."
"Where?"
"At the entrance!"
"Oh my God." Jonathan turns and looks at the entrance. He sees Margarita, Tomas, Barry, Michael and Mickey at the entrance. He becomes nervous and whispers, "I don't think I want Diane D's family to see me here."
"No? Why not?"
"Because they hate me Candis! They might not have gotten over the affair Diane D
had with me years ago, especially her husband! I don't want to run into him. He might want to punch me out! I don't want to run into the rest of her family either! I better ease out of here before they see me. You should ease out of here before they see you too Candis."
"What's wrong with them seeing me? I'm not the one guilty of anything, Diane D
is! She's the one who cheated on her husband with you! As long as she's not here, I shouldn't have to leave. She's not here is she? Because she is one person I do not care to run into."
"I don't think Diane D is here Candis. I think she might still be in the hospital.
Even though she might not be here and still be in the hospital, you did had an issue with her at the police station years ago while her family was there. Your image will always reflect on that! Do you want to run into her family again and have them be reminded of that incident?"
"No. I guess not."
"Okay then. I think we should leave out the side door."
"Okay. Let's go." Candis and Jonathan take one last look at Diane D's family then head towards the side and leave the area.
Margarita, Tomas, Barry, Michael and Mickey stand at the entrance looking at the crowd. They see Jessica near the front crying her eyes out. Mickey turns to Margarita and Tomas and sadly says, "Grandma, Grandpa, you think we should go over to Marcus'
mom and give her our condolences?"
"We would love to Mickey," Margarita says. "But I think we would be the last people on earth Marcus' mom would rather see. After all, it WAS Diane her child kept having nightmares about, causing him to take his own life, and Diane is our family 236
"That's true."
"I don't see Marcus' grandmother or his brother here," Michael says.
"I heard they got traumatized by this," Barry says.
"They got traumatized too?" Mickey asks.
"Yeah Mickey. It seems like we all are getting traumatized these days." Barry, Margarita, Tomas, Michael and Mickey stand at the entrance looking at the crowd.
"Come on everybody," Margarita then says. "Let's get back to the hospital because I have to get ready to stay with Diane again tonight."
"Okay Margarita," Tomas says as he, Margarita, Barry, Michael and Mickey take one last look towards Marcus' coffin, then turn and leave the area.
