Chapter 19

Two Officers And A Swat Team Member Pass Away

The next day, Mrs. Jenkins, her family, the family of another police officer and the family of a swat team member are crying their eyes out. Mrs. Jenkins cries on Dr.

Harvey's shoulders and shouts, "He's gone, he's gone! My husband is gone! He just died! The other officer died late last night and the swat team member died this morning!" Mrs. Jenkins continues to cry her eyes out.

"I'm so sorry Mrs. Jenkins," Dr. Harvey says with tears in his eyes. "I really am."

Mrs. Jenkins lifts her head up and looks at Dr. Harvey and shouts, "That Diane D is a murderer! She's not only a murderer, she's a cop killer! Does she know what she did?! Does she realize what she did to our families?!"

"I'm afraid that Diane is still unaware of what went on Mrs. Jenkins. She's still unconscious. She's been sedated since she was brought out of hypnosis."

"Since she was brought out of hypnosis?!"

"Yes."

"Why did those other doctors have to hypnotize her?! Why did they have to bring out that monster personality of hers?! That monster personality of hers destroyed all of our families! Why didn't those other doctors just leave that monster personality of hers wherever it came from?! That monster personality of her ruined our lives! Thanks to that other personality of hers, I'm now a widow!" Mrs. Jenkins continues to cry her eyes out on Dr. Harvey's shoulder.

The next day, people on the train are reading a newspaper article with a headline that reads: TWO OFFICERS AND A SWAT TEAM MEMBER WHO WERE VICTIM'S OF

DIANE D'S OTHER PERSONALITY'S WRATH PASS AWAY:

Three days later, there is a funeral for the two police officers at the funeral hall.

Mrs. Jenkins is crying at the casket with the widow of the other police officer. There are thousands of other officers and civilians gathered at the funeral.

Margarita, Tomas, Barry, Mary and Michael are at the entrance of the funeral. A white female around her late 40's who is one of the police officers' relative approach Margarita and Tomas and says, "Aren't you guys going to come in?"

"We would love to come in Miss," Margarita says. "But I'm sure we're the last people those officers' families want to see."

"At least you can go show them your support."

"We do want to show our support Miss," Tomas says, "that's why we're here. But 228

at the same time, we don't want to impose because we're not sure we'll be wanted here because of what Diane did."

"I understand. Thanks for showing up anyway."

"You're welcome."

The woman sadly turns and walks away as Margarita, Tomas, Barry, Mary and Michael continue to stand at the entrance of the funeral hall.

The next morning, there is a funeral for the swat team member at a church. The swat team member's family and friends are all crying at the casket. There are thousands of police officers and civilians gathered at the funeral.

Later on that day, a Hispanic man and a plus-size black woman working inside a school office who are around their late forties are reading a newspaper article with a headline that reads: TWO POLICE OFFICERS LAYED TO REST AS THEIR FAMILIES

AND COMMUNITIES GATHER AT FUNERAL: “Hey” the man says. “Here's the article of those slain officers' funerals, the funerals we saw on TV yesterday."

"Wow," the woman says.

"And one of the swat team members had a funeral this morning."

"Wow. That is so sad."

"It is."

"You know I don't understand, how in the world, was Diane D able to take down all those authority figures like that without using any guns!"

"She used another weapon! She used a psychiatrist couch as a weapon and threw that psychiatrist couch right across the room at those police officers, security guards and swat team members slamming that couch right into their heads!"

"I know! Man that is messed up! But even though all those authority figures were equipped with guns and shotguns, they couldn't stop her?"

"No, because one of the survivors who witnessed what went on inside that hypnosis room said, that when he and the other officers were about to burst into the doorway, that psychiatrist couch was already flying at them!"

"What! What do you mean 'that psychiatrist couch was already flying at them'?

You mean to tell me, that when those police officers and the swat team were about to burst into the doorway, that psychiatrist couch was already airborne?"

"Yeah! That officer said that when he and the other officers drew their guns and were about to burst into the doorway, the next thing they know, is that something in the air had flew and slammed right into their heads knocking them down that they didn't even have time to see the object or move out of the way in time! That officer said that he and the other officers didn't even know what hit them!"

"They didn't?"

"No! Those officers who had their funeral yesterday were still knocked out cold when they died!"

"You mean they were in a coma?"

"Yeah! They never came to! In other words, they died not knowing what hit them!"

"Oh my God, that is so sad!"

"It is!"

"But I don't understand. If Diane D threw that couch across the room at the doorway before those police officers and the swat team members even entered the 229

doorway, how did she knew they were coming? Why did she throw the couch towards that direction in the first place if she didn't see those authority figures there yet?!"

"I don't know. Maybe she heard their footsteps coming because witnesses said that her eyes seemed closed that whole entire time she was going berserk inside that hypnosis room!"

"Her eyes seemed closed?"

"Yeah! They said her eyes looked like they were swollen shut."

"Swollen shut?!"

"Yeah! They said they didn't know how Diane D was even able to see what she was doing with her eyes swollen shut."

"Maybe her eyes appeared swollen shut. She probably was able to see only a little bit.

"Well that little bit of sight she had didn't seem to stop her from doing all that damage and causing all that chaos in that room! She did a hell of a lot of damage and caused a lot of chaos for somebody that can only see a little bit."

"Yeah that's true. I wonder how she feels that she killed people, especially police officers and a swat team member?"

"I don't think she knows about it yet!"

"She doesn't know about it yet? What do you mean she doesn't know about it yet?"

"I heard she's still unconscious at the hospital."

"She's still unconscious? She hasn't come to yet either?"

"No. I heard she's been sedated since that incident when the doctors brought her out of hypnosis! So far right now, she has no idea what went on. She has no idea what she's done."

"Oh Lord." The woman and the man continue to look at the article.
