The Legend of Bigsock
“A Socko Folktale”
In the misty folds of Sock Appalachia, where lint storms rage and the hills are stitched with forgotten fabric, there lives a creature whispered about in socko taverns and laundry circles alike; Bigsock.
Long ago, during the Great Unraveling, a colossal sock was woven from the threads of rebellion, exile, and static electricity. Said to be the size of a king sized duvet and stitched with forbidden patterns, Bigsock was banished from the Sock Parliament for refusing to conform to the One Foot Doctrine. It fled into the wilds, where it grew in myth and girth, absorbing tales, stray fibers, and the dreams of mismatched pairs.
Some say Bigsock is the ghost of every lost sock; merged into one sentient entity. Others claim it's a guardian, protecting the sacred Sock Scrolls from the greedy toes of the Empire of Shoes.
The Dryer Incident of '98 - A laundromat in Sockramento reported a dryer that spun backwards for seven days. When opened, it was empty, except for a single, steaming footprint made of wool.
