Tensions simmered. A rogue Verde acolyte, Sister Cilantrella, approached the Diablo camp bearing a peace tostada. She was met with scorn, and a splash of molten habanero.
The Battle of the Sauced Earth - At dawn, the air thick with spice and prophecy, both factions converged on the neutral ground of Tortilla Flats. The Verdeans arrived cloaked in green robes stitched from basil leaves, wielding ladles and lime spritzers. The Diablos countered with armor forged from scorched taco shells and flamethrower churros.
The first strike came from Verde's High Blender, who unleashed the Verdant Vortex; a swirling cyclone of salsa verde that temporarily blinded the Diablo front line. But El Calor retaliated with The Scoville Surge, a fiery wave that turned guacamole to ash and sent cilantro priests fleeing.
The turning point began just as the Flats began to burn, and a mysterious third figure emerged, cloaked in golden queso, radiating warmth and umami. Neither Verde nor Diablo, this being, known only as the Melted One, spoke in bubbling tongues and offered a new path; unity through fusion.
The battle paused. Both factions stared, stunned, as the Melted One dipped a chip into both sauces and declared; "Flavor is not war. It is layering."
