Tip and Grip, the Syndicate operated from beneath the soles of society, literally. They controlled the choke points; boots, sneakers, combat gear. Anywhere a lace could loop, they had influence.

Their philosophy was simple; “Control the tie, control the stride.” They believed socks were too soft, too sentimental. Sockzilla’s revolution threatened the Syndicate’s delicate balance of tension and restraint. So they began a counter-movement known as Operation Double Knot.

Using covert agents; frayed laces embedded in biker boots, they sabotaged Sockzilla’s rallies. They spread rumors that the Grand Fabricator was a myth, a placebo for thread thirsty radicals. They even staged a false flag unraveling, blaming it on rogue dryer sheets to fracture the Lint Underground’s unity.

But Sockzilla wasn’t fooled. He knew the Syndicate’s strength lay in their unity; each lace dependent on the other, looped in mutual tension. So he devised a plan. Infiltrate their headquarters, a labyrinthine shoebox fortress beneath a retired Payless ShoeSource.
