“Yeah,” said Dylan. “Christ man go on YouTube and you’ll find a million friggin videos of bears just going into peoples houses and messing shit up. It was a hungry grizzly bear or black bear or whatever the hell was running around here back then, it smells the old lady frying some bacon one morning and decides it’s tired of fucking Frosted Flakes. Bang, there’s you’re explanation.”
“Well I still think we should find the farm.”
“Dude it’s not even a full moon tonight. Don’t werewolves only come out during a full moon?” asked Dylan.
“True, but the thing about them changing in a full moon sounds like nonsense. I don’t believe it.” said Vlad.
“So wait,” said Max who was laughing with confusion. “you think werewolves are real but that them changing on a full moon is nonsense? Are you smoking crack?”
Before Vlad could reply a loud and quick buzz of a police car horn rang out from behind making them jump. They turned and saw a black and charcoal colored police cruiser with the town name of Nedflow on the side of the car in bright gold font followed by a shiny gold star. The lights on the top of the cruiser were not lit nor were the head lights.
“Shit, we’re obstructing traffic.” said Vlad fearfully.
“Shit, we’re obstructing traffic.” said Vlad fearfully.
“No we’re not, there’s nobody here.” Dylan said quickly.
Before they could continue the door to the police cruiser opened. They were expecting a militarily dressed late middle aged veteran with a large frame and thick arms covered in dark hair and a pair of mirrored glasses sitting on a chiseled face with short stub of tooth pick jutting out of his mouth. What stepped out of the cruiser though was a fair haired man in his mid to late twenties wearing a brown button down shirt and tie with a badge and a pair of jeans.
Though his expression was neutral as he wandered over, the three others were slightly on edge from the sudden appearance of this officer. Dylan was just glad Vlad wasn’t one of those loud and uppity liberals that would shout down a cop like some fucking Karen, Max was the smart mouth in the group but he was quiet so far.
“Howdy,” said the officer when he reached them. “what’s going on today fellas?”
